Yeah but Tom Brady must be getting tired of giving them hometown discounts only to see his top targets leave.

Hey guys, sorry I didn't get this updated last night.

Martin trade and Starks possible resigning have been added.

I'm liking the light side of free agency approach... aside from Albert, seems we're not gonna go on an all out spending spree.

Its easy to always be "there" when Tom Brady is your QB and your division competition has been subpar for years.

I don't want to turn this into a Tannehill debate, but if he steps up this year everything changes and NE can no longer be complacent. Heck, even if Vick signs with the Jets a lot could change.

Sorry, back on topic.

I agree. It was like watching Marino put subpar teams in the hunt every season. Miami's drafts were atrocious in the late 1980s, especially number 1s. Webb broke a long dry spell.

Ah heck, lets talk Pats. Lord knows I hear it enough on my drive into work.

NE has a good o-line and a decent run game. If Gronkowski is healthy they have a legit weapon. But their receivers are lousy, their secondary is spare parts, and their DL/LBs are injury plagued. Oh, and Hernandez is in jail!

Bellichick has zero reason not to take fliers on a slew of 1 year deals to give Brady his last hope. Hakeem Nicks, Jermichael Finley, Jared Allen, Darrelle Revis, Dominique Rodgers Cromartie, Demarcus Ware...all of these pieces could keep them a step ahead of the game until Brady calls it quits. And by the way, he's getting back to dink and dunk Brady. He has trouble with the deep ball and rookie WRs can't bail him out.

Again, if Tannehill steps up and Miami gets a ground game they have a real shot to challenge the AFC East. If the Jets get Vick and a couple of WRs they'll have a real shot to challenge. This isn't 2012 anymore.

It's so hard to make back to back Superbowls... but the Broncos are certainly priming themselves to do just that.

They have to, it's all or nothing since Manning has like 4 percent of his career life left.

They have paid guys in the past, but not very many.

A lot of poor decisions have been masked by a great QB, and in doing so they have settled to be the best in the east and fall short in the post season..

I look at some of the moves they make and really cant wait for Brady to retire and them be exposed.
Things that come to mind are the big time players they drafted & developed then would not pay, Assante Samuel is one, guy goes from 4th round back up to an all pro/pro bowl CB, they let him walk. Or how they were the greatest fit for troubled players like Ocho & Haynesworth. Welker...

IMO investing time and money in a player and then letting him go spread his wings on another team to save a buck is foolish in this league, most rookies sign on for 4 years, and if they are going to be something most hit the stride in year 3 or 4... Even the ones that breakout in year two, most will say lets see if he backs it up...

I must be minority because i want to see at least one more big splash signing its not like we dont have the cap room. what's the point in all the cap space if we dont use it? Just one more guy to make this team better get fans excited and really solidify a position. Id love to see Revis come in and be paired with Grimes and make our defense very scary. Or maybe alex mack to give us a guy to really help solidify the line.
Sitting pat with a roster that hasnt had a winning season for 6 years doesnt make sense to me.

Mack was designated with a transition tag, so you're not just talking money but a draft pick. What type of compensation would need to be given up for Mack, who by the way has the same name as a cheesy kid's show.

Maybe im wrong but i thoight transition tags meant the other team could match it and restricted free agents mean you can match it but if you dont you get pick compensation

Just looked at Rotoworld's list of available players. There are a lot of decent 1 year bargains still available. Miami can still grab OG, RT, CB, MLB and HB if they want. Actually, might be a TE and WR upgrade available too if they really want to get aggressive.

Im hoping for more.
I would like to see us take a look at the RB's, and WR's for sure. Personally I am not thrilled with any of our backs, seems to me we are stacked with back up talent. Miller's speed has yet to impress me at this level, I think we have seen everything we can expect with Thomas. Our WR's took a hit last year, and IMO it was a weak spot to start with. Hartline ended the season banged up, and we lost Gibson mid season.

Also not to confident in our TE's, Egnew and Simms have yet to do anything, Clay had a monster year for sure, but we could use a seam threat TE to go along with him.

The Miami Herald reports the Dolphins have "some level of interest" in free agent OLs Wade Smith, Daryn Colledge, Evan Dietrich-Smith, and Davin Joseph.
Smith, 33 next month, can play either guard spot, in addition to center. He hasn't missed a start in four seasons and spent the first four years of his career with the Dolphins. GM Dennis Hickey is doing his homework on offensive linemen. He still has to potentially fill holes at left guard, right guard, and right tackle.

The Miami Herald reports the Dolphins have expressed interest in setting up a visit with free agent RT Zach Strief.
Strief has been unavailable this week due to a commitment at a function in Cincinnati. The 30-year-old reportedly would be interested in talking with Miami but prefers to re-sign with New Orleans. The Saints may not be able to squeeze Strief under the cap. He's a finesse blocker who excels in pass protection.

Miami is in need of a starter opposite Brent Grimes after losing Nolan Carroll to the Eagles. They reportedly have a lot of faith in second-year CB Jamar Taylor but want to add a veteran to the mix. Brown's market has been nonexistent.

Oh, please, NO. He's not the player he used to be, and his antics have been a distraction. This is NOT a Philbin guy. If he is signed and comes in and acts like a boy scout and balls out, I'll happily eat my words, but those my friends are some monumental "ifs."

He also missed 9 games with an orbital bone fracture and finished the season on IR.
