Ross mentioned his support for Philbin repeatedly. Didn't say much about Ireland.

I asked Ross whether he has control. He insisted he's not an absentee owner and that with modern technology he's on top of things from NY.

My take? Steve Ross didn't show any support for Jeff Ireland. Ross seemed uncomfortable about idea of meeting with Richie Incognito.

Ross says there will be no ruacial slurs, or harrassing or bullying in that locker room.

I watched the presser live. He voiced his undying confidence in Joe Philbin, he didn't mention Ireland at all. I think he sounds like the fall guy. I like Ross and I think he's been waiting for a good reason to s**t can Ireland for a while and this sounds like it. I only hope the new GM maintains Philbin as the HC. New coach means start from scratch. But if Philbin wants to win, I think he needs a new OC.

He just gave him an extension on his contract.

New GM generally means new coach, unless its someone who would be Philbin patsy.

if we get a new GM we should probably go with his coaching choice. Then we can get rid of Sherman's lousy gameplan. :pumpiron:

Good points..........does anybody have a link to the Ross interview? Have to see the video, but I'm not sure Ross not mentioning Ireland is a big deal. Philbin is the one under the gun, at least as far as the press is concerned. Some may blame Ireland for drafting Martin, but you're asking a lot of a guy to foresee this type of fiasco occurring.

As the guys have said, a new GM will in all likelyhood mean a new coach, aka a new regime. You can probably find Ross press conference on YouTube at some point. Just Google it.

Here's the link...........

Watch it for yourselves...........but I didn't hear or not hear anything that would indicate Ross plans to dismiss Ireland.

I kind of agree with Cris Carter, that the strip club o-line meetings is a bad reflection on Philbin, he should have known about that. It reflects poorly on him.
