Post 2010 regular season schedule
Tonight at 7:00 PM est

Quote:
The NFL will continue to show off it's ability to turn a non-event into a much-anticipated and chronicled celebration tonight when it releases its 2010 regular-season schedule. If the idea of finding out when the Dolphins play doesn't excite you on NFL Network, you can switch to ESPN because it also will telecast a program about the schedule release.

Really it is just the dates / times / primtime games that are found out. The teams and home/away delegations are already known. I would say Dolphins/Jets MNF game either early in the season or in one of the last few weeks is a near certainty. And it will probably be on the road.

Commissioner Goodell mentioned on Mike & Mike this morning that all Week 17 games will be division games.

The way it should be.

It also means that all Week 1 games with be divisional games as well, I think...?? Usually if you play a divisional opponent Week 1, you play them again Week 17.

I don't think that there is a rule on this, it was just the way it worked out 2 years ago with the jests.

Yeah there is no basis for that happening. If you go back and look at last years schedule, it didn't happen at all.

KFAN in Minneapolis is reporting they have a leaked copy of the Vikings schedule... They have Miami in Minnesota Week 10.

Obviously its unofficial, but that's what they have.

If so, the game comes at a good time. If their schedule is correct, Miami would play Minnesota the week after an emotional game against Green Bay and a week before a trip to Philadelphia.

That's good. Brett Favre looked pooped out after the game against GB last season.

So if these leaked schedules are accurate, here is what we have so far:

Week 1 -- at NY Jets
Week 7 -- vs. Pittsburgh
Week 10 -- at Minnesota
Week 16 -- vs. Detroit

Man if we could get Buffalo at home in Week 17, that would be a great way to end the season.

The metrodome is never easy to play in... but at least we don't have to go to Buffalo in December!!

We do have Chicago, Cleveland and Foxboro late in the year though... brrrrr

We could end up walking into the playoffs if we can win 3 or 4 of our first half...

Bears, Raiders, Browns, Bills and Lions make up 5 of our last 8

I see 11-5, BEST CASE SCENARIO. With any luck, we'll have the division wrapped by Week 17, or at least a playoff spot.

Raiders, Browns, Bills and Lions in 4 of the final 6 weeks, so if we can get a few wins early, we should be OK.

I was thinking the same thing. Our early-mid schedule is pretty tough, but if we can get out of the first 8 weeks at 4-4 or 5-3, we can make a real push at 11-12 wins.

Marlins are home for the week 2 game so I can see why week 2 is on the road. I dont get the week 1 being on the road since the Marlns are on the road that weekend.

Marlins on the road for Week 3 which clears the way for Sunday Night.

Marlins end the season at home on Oct 3 which clears the way for the Monday night game on the 4th.

Which means we will have the inield dirt for 2 Nationally televised games. What a pain that they have to work thier schedule around the Marlins. Only 2 more seasons of this crap!

Primetime + Dirt = OJ?

Jets schedule looks easier because they play us, not themselves.

You went to safe, Cooter. I'd say those 9 games you picked are "should-wins". I think Miami pulls off a couple upsets in there somewhere, maybe @GB since it is after the Bye. I do think we win that Pittsburgh game.

That's how I feel - it is ridiculous to force a team to open and end the season on the road like that. HOWEVER, it also means that they are home for 9 of the middle 14 weeks (including the Bye).

Get road game at Buffalo out of the way right away -- good thing. No cold weather late in the year and get these guys while they're still trying to get things figured out.

Minnesota in week 2 could be good. Vikes will be coming off an emotional rematch against the Saints. Their secondary may still be banged up early in the year as Cedric Griffin may still be gimpy from a serious knee injury suffered in the NFC Championship.

Get the Jets without Santonio and perhaps Braylon.

Get Green Bay off our bye week, in mid-October, where it shouldn't be frozen yet. They have a game against Minnesota the following week, so maybe they'll be looking ahead.

Get the Steelers Week 7. Rumors are flying that Big Ben could get an 8 game suspension. Good for us.

Easy games down the stretch, many of which, come at home. We have an early bye, but it breaks up the toughest part of our schedule, so that's OK with me.

I like the schedule. Come out of the first 8 games at .500 and we're in business.

Dang, all 3 of our AFC East rivals in the first month of the season before the bye. Wow.

Because the Jets weren't supposed to go to the AFC Championship. They lucked out that we fell flat on our faces towards the end of the season and they got extremely lucky when it mattered. Remember, they couldn't beat us head to head. The Jets overachieved, plain and simple. It will be a struggle for them to make the playoffs this year if you ask me.

I've already got tickets to the game against the Vikes. My best Dolfan buddy out here in Denver is cousins with Michael Montgomery, who just got signed by the Vikings this year. I've got a cousin that lives in Minneapolis also. So all I've got to do is show up and I'm reppin' aqua and orange in the Metrodome this year! I'm pumped, GO DOLPHINS!!!

Well, we lost our early season homefield advantage by Ross getting his wish and moving those games to the night.

Not happy about that.

And we get to play road games against the Jets and Patriots in December.
