You wanted change after the bye week? Well, there was change right from the start when the Dolphins elected to receive when they won the coin toss rather than the eternal decision to defer. They then changed their kickoff-return blocking scheme with no linemen in the front (that reverted back – Dion Jordan moved front and middle rather than second-line to the side, for example - after the Dolphins returned to the 16). Daniel Thomas started over Lamar Miller at running back. Mike Wallace was used on a reverse. Called roll-outs for Ryan Tannehill were part of the offensive package. The put in a quicker, 3-step drop so Tannehill wasn’t exposed to the Bills pass rush (as well as double-teaming Mario Williams most plays). So they made change. But everything was a struggle, especially offensively, for the much of the first half.

The bottom line is you can put in all the wrinkles you want, if the big uglies up front can't get the job done, your offense suffers.

If our QB had more time to throw and our receivers had more time to get open, the offense would be more consistent.

How about we keep it simple? If we are running, keep running until they stop it.

It was working. The two Tanny INT's in the first half weren't the run games fault.

I'll say it again, if we continue to have Tanny drop back 30+ times again this slide we've seen is going to get worse.

Hate to apply the pressure but this team needs to win 4 of its next 5. December includes road games in Buffalo, Pittsburgh and NY where the weather alone can be the biggest opponent. If 10-6 is the goal you want to enter that final stretch 7-4.

This can be done. Tannehill has the ability to put points on the board. Thomas and Miller have shown the ability to produce a modest running game. The defense has only been manhandled once.

Time to piece it all together.

Dolphins waive LB Josh Kaddu.
The Miami Herald reported in April that the Dolphins had "high hopes" for the 2012 fifth-rounder, but they apparently soured, as Kaddu had yet to play a snap on defense. He could just be a victim of the numbers game along Miami's stout defensive line. It's possible he'll be stashed on the practice squad.
