HUGE blow to Atlanta. Looks like Miami will get lucky for a 3rd straight week and play a short handed Atlanta team.

Like I said in an earlier post. Things just seem to be falling into place with teams we are playing losing key guys before our game with them.

I'm sure forum posts are admissible in court. Where were you yesterday? Don't leave town. They may need to ask you a few questions.

Rough blow for Atlanta, but that's the NFL. No one gave a you know what when Dustin Keller was lost for the year.

That is Atlanta problem.

I'm sure there is some Pats fan somewhere crying about how the schedule makers gave Miami a break by aligning the Dolphins schedule with forecasted injuries.

yup, the best teams have that "Next man up" approach. Clay stepped up his game and is helping us win.

tit for tat

Quote:
Dolphins NT Paul Soliai suffered a left knee injury in Sunday's Week 2 win over the Colts and is in danger of missing Week 3 versus Atlanta.
The injury is not believed to be season-ending, but it's possible he could miss a week or two. If Soliai were to miss Week 3, Randy Starks would step back into the starting lineup next to Jared Odrick. Soliai has graded out as Pro Football Focus' No. 7 defensive tackle through two weeks. Starks is No. 6.

game of attrition.

Read that Ryan was getting pummeled this past weekend. We need to see Miami get pressure on him and force mistakes. Heck a defensive TD would be just what the doctor ordered.

I'm sorry to see Soliai get hurt. But Miami has a lot of talented depth for the D-line. Just be happy it wasn't a starter like Pouncey or Incognito on Miami's O-line that got injured.

You guys just need to tell me who to draft on my fantasy team....cause every year I'm obliterated with injuries...Maybe I'll try and draft the Patriots entire team next year.

Soliai's injury isn't a huge deal. Atlanta isn't running the ball anyway.

I know we always say we want to beat teams when they are full strength , at their best ... but you have to admit these injury breaks we are getting is kinda nice.

Soliai's injury isn't a huge deal. Atlanta isn't running the ball anyway.

PR, losing a guy that clogs up the middle and helps collapse the pocket the way Soliai does is a big deal. The saving grace however, is thank goodness Miami can plug Randy Starks into the middle and just pair him with Odrick and I think Vaughn will contribute as well rotating.

You never know what wrinkle an NFL team can throw at you and even if Atlanta's running game has struggled I certainly won't get too excited.

Same with Atlanta's injuries. Other guys get the call and could have the game of their lives, although I certainly hope we are catching the Falcons lacking a bit.

I don't want to take anything away from the fact that we just won at Indy, but we are facing an even better passing QB this week, so we HAVE to get pressure or else be on pins and needles the entire game watching Matt Ryan light it up against our secondary.

Steven Jackson is a beast when healthy, but he never is. I was surprised the Falcons signed him as he cannot be counted on for an entire season.

Falcons' LT Sam Baker to miss game at Miami

LOWERY BRANCH, Ga. (AP) -- The Atlanta Falcons will be without left tackle Sam Baker in Sunday's game at Miami.

Baker missed practice all week with foot and knee injuries and was listed as out on Friday's injury report.

The Falcons have lost five starters to injuries this week. Defensive end Kroy Biermann (torn Achilles) and fullback Bradie Ewing (separated shoulder) are out for the season. Linebacker Sean Weatherspoon (foot) will miss two months. Running back Steven Jackson (hamstring) will miss at least one game.

Jeremy Trueblood, who signed with Atlanta on Sept. 3, could start at right tackle, where he played in seven seasons with Tampa Bay. Lamar Holmes could shift from right tackle to left tackle.

Ryan Schraeder, an undrafted rookie, is Atlanta's only other backup offensive tackle.

Henry, as a fan I get worried that this game gets a feel of well a lot of Atlanta's players are hurt so it looks good for the Dolphins, but we all know good coaching can mix in others to step in and be given the confidence within a good team, which Atlanta is....and be given their chance to shine.

I am not saying that the Dolphins and Philbin approach the game this way, but I don't want to see the overlook because of injuries and I sense that from some fans.
