Post The Real Test
It's pretty nice opening 2-0 on the road, but Atlanta will be the real measure of how far we've come. We lose and it's no big deal really. We win, and we know we have arrived. Atlanta is the real deal and so is New Orleans. We split these and i'll dance naked in the streets!

I thought the playoff team the Phins just beat was a good test that was passed.

To me the real test is going to be Miami's ability to compete in a shoot out. The defense has stepped up and Tannehill is making clutch throws but I'm not all that certain the offense can handle a big comeback or a letdown day by the defense.

Both Atlanta and New Orleans are capable of that, but so was Indy.

Going 2-0 is a big step for this team.
Going 4-1 would be HUGE with the early season schedule.
That is asking a LOT, but one can always hope, right???

Right now I think 3-2 is realistic. Baltimore is probably the most winnable of the next three and I don't see Miami dropping three straight.

A huge note I thought was the fact that the team wasn't celebrating like amateurs in the locker room today. As Ditka used to say about TD dances, "act like you've been there before." Tells me they expect to win and prepare to win. I don't think going 4-1 is asking a lot or unthinkable.

Nah.

Atlanta was in the freakin' NFC championship game last year. Can't wait to see how we stack up in that game.

I'd agree on paper that Atlanta is superior. But the match ups, Indy on the road vs hosting Atlanta, might be closer in reality. I think Atlanta's o-line will be the key.

I don't think you can compare Indy to Atlanta. Indy is barely a wildcard team. Atlanta was 10 yards from a Super Bowl with the best WR duo in the league. Atlanta and New Orleans are top echelon teams right there with San Fran, Green Bay, Denver etc. Indy is not top level. We split the next two and we're good. We lose the next two and we're hovering in the top end of mediocrity.

Agree on all accounts.

This team is confident right now. They feel like that can beat anybody. Winning builds confidence.
