Gonna be a great matchup which can go either way. Ballard is out and looks like Dwayne Allen is out too.
The Colts have said they want to get the ball more to TY Hilton.

Philbin wants to get Sims more playing time this week.

Quote:
Coach Joe Philbin suggested he wants Dolphins fourth-round TE Dion Sims to play more this week against the Colts.
Sims played 15 snaps in the opener. Charles Clay played 64. Michael Egnew played 21. OC Mike Sherman already said earlier in the week that Clay likely played too much. Sims is by far the best blocker of the group. His insertion into the lineup could help a running game that worked too hard for yards in Week 1.

Quote:
Dolphins CB Dimitri Patterson (groin) returned to practice Friday.
Patterson practiced on a limited basis and is officially listed as questionable. Assuming he avoids setbacks, he'll start opposite Brent Grimes in Week 2.

Ryan Tannehill said he's not going to "force" the ball to Mike Wallace.
Wallace was furious following his one-catch, 15-yard performance in Sunday's Week 1 win over the Browns. He saw zero targets in the first half, suggesting his role in the gameplan was as a speedy decoy. "I'm going to play the quarterback position the way the coaches install the plays," Tannehill said. "I'm going to go through the reads just like they install it. We're going to try and get him the ball when he's in the play, but we're not going to force him the ball." The squeaky (whiny) wheel often gets greased, especially when that wheel just signed a $60 million contract. Expect Wallace to be the first read on plenty of plays in Week 2. Sep 12 - 10:22 AM

Sports shows talk about the game for 20 seconds instead of the usual 10 seconds.

23-17 Miami.

Luck will be Luck and come up with some big plays and 3rd downs, but Miami should be able to control most of the game and pick up a W.

Another must win game.

The secondary and pass rush are the key. We will probably need a turnover for a short field to score one TD. Add in three fist pumps for Sturgis.....who is our MVP.

Colts 21

I'm leaning towards your thinking about control. I think our run game will show up & make the biggest difference. I remember Allen hurting us last year, he's out & I think Indy's OC is getting in the way of the offense. Oakland got FOUR sacks last week! Wake has to be salivating. If Grimes can keep Wayne in some containment & if we don't let TY get behind the D . . .

30-20 Fins Up!

Not at all. I was dead serious about Michael Egnew.

Miami wins 27 - 24. Miami forces 2 turnovers and gets 4 sacks against Luck. L Miller gets 80 yards rushing. Hartline and Gibson are going to have big games again tomorrow.

I am going to go with Miami 31-17.
I think Lamar Miller will have abig game, Pouncey, Richie, and Tyson are going to be pissed and wreck house. I believe Ryan will connect with Wallace for a big TD and Gibson will have a big game.
The D is going to get sacks and at least 1 turnover, the 17 points will come from 2 Luck being Luck type plays. A missed sack and coverage break down. Other than that our front 7 controls the game and line of scrimage.

GO PHINS!!!!

Miami - 38
Indy - 33
Neither team will have success running the ball, the game will fall into the QB's hands, and Miami's pass rush proves to be the deciding factor
Indy moves the ball to the RZ in the final minutes while we all sit at the edge of our seats, Wake comes through with the clutch strip sack to seal the W

Sounds like the end of the Akron-Michigan game yesterday!

I'm going to with:

Dolphins 24
Colts 17

When was the last time we said that the Dolphins have a talented group of 3 receivers and a strong armed quarterback to know which one is open? One thing is for sure, Vontae Davis is talented but he's not as consistent as Joe Haden. Wallace catches a couple deep ones today.

I'm sure we'll see a running game today, but it won't be a whole lot of improvement. While Sherman has impressed when it comes to Tannehill and the receivers, I can't help but think that all of last year I felt he wasted the talents of Reggie Bush and did not have the creativity to adjust his schemes. Let's hope he can get our backs into the passing game to add another dangerous element to our offense.

The offensive line is just average despite Ireland's hard work to improve it. Their pass blocking has improved but their run blocking is terrible as a whole.

Sherman will set Vontae up a couple of times. I agree Dave, they'll hit a couple deep ones.

Sturgis has an easy day, only extra-points and kickoffs, no FGs needed.

After today we will be wondering why the whole suck for Luck campaign ever started. We have the better QB by far.

Its just if we are ever going to have a shot this year is it. We seem to play teams so far & before the game they lose a key player , Tannehill shows as much positive signs as any of the guys drafted before him & except for Kaepernick , is there a better young QB?? While the running game was awful last week , we seem to have a thunder / lightning tandem in the making , defense can hold its own as usual & the kicker is that the AFC east stinks , plus the conference is the weeker conference. Take all that & throw in the Philbin pool party from this off season & can you really say that there is not one game on the schedule that is not winable.
(OK , just kidding about the pool party)

Start handing out weekly awards and announce the Pro Bowl at the end of the season. FINesse would be a lock for sarcasm. Whine and cheese would be interesting.

So I was off by a point.....the pass rush and INT were big. The offense was more potent than expected. We only needed one giant fist pump from Sturgis, but he had to kick it twice!

I was right about this one. Didn't expect the entire 20 seconds to be about Luck though, when Tannehill clearly outplayed him.

When will they let Tannehill into the club of QBs drafted last year?
