Cardinals signing Dan Carpenter

The kicker carousel continues to spin, with one getting off in Arizona.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Cardinals are signing former Dolphins kicker Dan Carpenter to a one-year deal.

That puts him face-to-face with veteran kicker Jay Feely, whom Carpenter once replaced in Miami.

With a number of teams in the market for kickers, these guys are going to play musical chairs for the next several weeks.

I believe he had a 26 yarder blocked in their last PSeason vs Chargers and didn't look good in practice either.

Bad luck...

Didn't sound like he was giving much of a chance. I like Carpenter, he's a good kicker.........he'll get picked up by another team.

I didn't even know that the Jets had signed him, let alone that they cut him. Wow.

Am I the only one who kind of wants to see him get cut and then signed to the Patriots, so he can say he was on the roster of every AFC East team this year

They have arguably the best kicker in the NFL with Gostkowski, not gonna happen lol.

They have the best of everything, Seems to me not winning a Superbowl for 10 years they have underachieved quite a bit.
Best coaches, owner, mlber, nt, rookies of the year, best qb best TE's, best oline, best wr's, best kicker, best punter and the best draft picks.

I agree. But when you get into the post season anything can happen. Run into a hot team .. etc. Still if not for 2 great NY Giant receptions they have 5 rings. You cant argue with the success of that franchise & as frustrating as it is even they now know we are the new jewel of the division.

And if they didn't tape pre game workouts before the Superbowl and cheat all year long . So bad mind you the league helped cover it up. they wouln't have won any

They may (I don' think so, but you can make the argument) have the best collective team, but if you think they have the best wide receivers in football, you're crazy.

Carp wasn't that bad as a kicker. I'm just wondering if he's got some kind of injury. He is certainly getting well traveled.

I just think Arizona and the Jets only brought him to light a fire under Feely and Folk, nothing more. Buffalo's young 6th round pick hurt his groin. Makes you wonder if Carp will be unemployed yet again when that kid is healthy.

So, I changed the title to make it more current. There is no more room for any other changes, so, let's just hope he sticks with the Bills.

:)

Maybe you missed this part

They did have Randy Moss, Dante Stallworth and Wes Welker and didn't win(and the all time great Heath Evans)
And i'm pretty sure they didn't underachieve yet this year.
