In news New England Patriots fans have nightmares about, Tom Brady took a shot to his surgically repaired left knee and was forced to leave practice today.

Ben Volin of the The Boston Globe reports Brady had a pronounced limp after an unidentified player struck him in the leg.

It's the same knee Brady injured in 2008, when Bernard Pollard lunged at his lower leg and tore his ACL. He was not wearing a brace on his knee as the Patriots joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for a joint today.

After staying down for a while, Brady reportedly participated in one more play and then left the field after consulting with head coach Bill Belichick and the Patriots' medical staff.

I feel the same. I cannot stand Brady, but do not wish injury on him. The practice report is early, so he is getting the knee checked and no telling the outcome.

I already told you guys it is a foregone conclusion. Brady will get hurt, Mallett will go down as well. Tebow will step in and lead the Patriots to the Superbowl and Mak will bow before my greatness as a talent evaluator

The MRI came back negative in the left knee. Brady is day to day.

From the tuck rule to spy gate, he has no rings that I recognize. Might as well mount him next to the cheatriot snow plow.

Source: Tom Brady's MRI negative

here was a bit of a scare Wednesday at New England Patriots camp, where quarterback Tom Brady went down and grabbed his left knee after an incomplete pass in 11-on-11 drills in a joint practice with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Brady went down and grabbed his left knee in a joint practice with the Bucs Wednesday.

But an MRI on Brady's knee was negative and he is considered day to day, a source with knowledge of the injury told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

The Patriots will re-examine Brady in the morning, but a source told Schefter the quarterback is likely to practice Thursday.

Video taken by a fan showed Bucs defensive lineman Adrian Clayborn push Patriots offensive lineman Nate Solder into Brady's leg just after Brady threw the ball. Brady immediately went down and grabbed his leg.

lol...you've lost how many bets against me regarding Tebow? You know the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again with the same result. :)

It turns out that Brady just suffered a bruise on his left knee during Wednesday's joint practice. "He basically got kicked," a source told ESPN's Ed Werder. His MRI came back negative and he is tentatively expected to practice on Thursday. If Brady doesn't play on Friday night, it looks like it will just be precautionary. The Patriots have survived this scare.

I agree Dave. In order to be the best, you have to beat the best and I want to see Miami get to Brady this season!

Do you really need to add the qualifier "tonight"?

The combination of Brady's accuracy and the time his OL gives him makes me ill.

And I tuned in for one play when Tebow was QB and it was the interception about 2 miles beyond its target.
