-- Dolphins top performers for today: 1. Caleb Sturgis (he's BACK). 2.Will Yeatman (few issues with Dion Jordan). 3 Jonas Gray (ran with POWER)

-- Seriously, the fact Caleb Sturgis can easily clear a 52-yard FG a week after a growing injury is impressive.

-- "I think the best form of leadership for us is by example," Philbin said.

-- Watching Will Yeatman stand Dion Jordan up consistently and it changes my opinion on both. Great battle today.

Hmmmmm, Yeatman at LT? Just saying....

That's interesting to read. Especially after days of reports about Martin struggling against Jordan and Olivier

Some things that might hinder the idea of Yeatman at starting Left Tackle:

1.) Omar Kelly had a hand in on reporting this comment

2.) Yeatman is currently THIRD string

3.) Jordan is still a rookie learning.

4.) Yeatman has never started an NFL game on the line

Now the above being said, what is interesting about this guy is that he BARELY made any impact in college, got arrested twice at Notre Dame (when he was young and dumb), then transferred to Maryland. More known in college for lacrosse.

He is a physical specimen, no doubt and he would be a good story if he continued up the charts, but right now Martin & Rookie Dallas Thomas are ahead of him in the pecking order.

1. While it's good to see Yeatman standing up Jordan, it's only a practice. Anyone can have a good day of practice. Let's see him do it consistently before annointing this guy as the next Richmond Webb.

2. Barring some major catastrphic injury in camp, Caleb Sturgis will be the new Dolphins kicker. You don't spend a 5th round pick on a Groza Award candidate to cut him at the end of training camp. Carpenter is pretty much auditioning for other teams at this point.

Coming out of college, Martin looked like he had a body made of silly puddy.....I know he has trained harder and supposedly gotten stronger but his body is still a blob IMO.

Martin is a RT moved to LT. Jordan is a rookie with great physical tools but at the NFL level you have to study to be good.

He was a LT at Stanford, protecting Andrew Luck.

Wrong. He played left tackle in college. When the Dolphins drafted him, I envisioned him playing right tackle for one year then moving over if Jake Long left in the off-season

I think this Martin thing is being overblown...The Steelers went to a Super Bowl with a worse o line.

The Patriots tackles almost got Brady killed last preseason multiple times....

Looking down the list of topics..Martin Martin Martin..

The difference there being that Brady and Roethlisberger are both seasoned quarterbacks (assuming you're referencing the o-line on the second of Ben's Super Bowls) whose confidence wasn't going to be rattled by a porous line. As good as Tanny can be, he's still learning the position. I don't want to chance his confidence.

And you are right.. And thats what i was referring to..It's all about the qb play...
And i think Tanny will be fine wjth a better line than we had last year. I do think it's better than a year ago as is Tannehill

Rothlisberger won the Superbowl his sophomore year.
