...

1. The Dolphins offensive line needs plenty of work! There were so many would-be sacks in the scrimmage I honestly lost count. ...

Samuda has been the second most impressive player in camp to me (Jared Odrick gets the top spot). ...

Miami needs consistency from Clay, who I sense will be part of a four-headed monster at TE/H-back/fullback ...

4. I hadn't noticed Jonas Gray unit(until) Monday night, when the team began live hitting. ...

6. Marvin McNutt appears to be seizing his opportunity. ...

I felt Thigpen was the second best runner the Dolphins had based on his burst and quick decisions. But it appears he's returning to his role as a slot receiver because of injuries the Dolphins are battling now. ...

Jeff Ireland doesn't have a problem cutting the cord on early draft picks who disappoint. Most were released after just one season with the team, and it appears tight end Michael Egnew might be next. Egnew has some talent as a pass catching tight end, but he lacks consistency. And Egnew's limitations as a blocker haven't been addressed despite his MMA work this offseason ...

If Dolphins fans had their way Dimitri Patterson would have been cut already because of his $4.5 million salary. However, Patterson appears to be pushing Richard Marshall for the starting spot opposite Brent Grimes. ...

So Jeff Ireland doesn't have a problem cutting early draft picks who disappoint? Maybe with the emergence of Jonas Gray, Daniel Thomas should also be put on notice.
