Yeah, I saw that. Got to say I am a little disappointed with that news.

I am, too. I'm thinking they want to use some of their money to extend the contracts of some of their players.

Is it just a negotiating tactic?

Maybe they would rather develop C.Clay and J.Lane that sign a 32 year old.

Ya, I don't think they want to sign him for more than 1 year.

I dont know what to make of it. The no contract offer is what is strange, we had quotes of Philbin saying he wants him to sign. How can you sign if there is no offer?

Someone is not telling the truth, or reporting rumors as real...

They may have wanted him but his uncertainty made them change their minds.. We are a week shy of camp its time for players to focus on football.

I still think he is just trying to milk Balto for what he can and had not intention of signing elsewhere

I think it is more this than not wanting to pay Leach. Leach is not expensive and Miami needs a winning team. They aren't going to compromise their running game and another target for Tannehill just to save a couple bucks.

If Miami hasn't made an offer what can he use as leverage against Baltimore?

Who knows, seems like 75% media hype at this point. Reports that Philbin wants him signed by the end of a week, reports we are only offering a one year deal etc.. Now reports that we did not offer.

If no offer was made, there is nothing to sign. We were never interested. But did balto know that?

Neither Lane nor Clay are anywhere close to being the caliber blocker that Leach is, and he has decent hands out of the backfield.

It not like you are paying fullbacks huge money. A guy like Leach gives you that physical presence in the run game that the Dolphins want to set.
