Bumphis plays similar to Bess so it's kinda surprising they got him

Jordan Kovacs S Michigan was pretty highly rated, as was AZ St S Keelan Johnson, whom we apparently also have signed. I believe WR Mumphis was on a lot of people's boards as well as AZ St. RB Cameron Marshall who we are reported to have signed.

Unconfirmed rumor on Phinsider says we may sign Tyler Bray.

I'm down with that.

Reading that alot on twitter too. If his head is right he can be a huge steal just by a trade in future years

That would follow the Green Bay philosophy of taking a QB every year.

Remember when a few people wanted to pass on Tannehill because guys like Bray were coming out in 2013? Lol...

He's the only QB I would have taken in the draft. Easily most talented passer. That said, reports are that his teammates didn't tell NFL teams nice things about him.

If he can somehow get it right mentally/intangibly, Miami may have gotten themselves trade bait for an early draft pick down the road...

If Bray had been able to keep his head on straight at Tennessee, he would have been a second day player

He'd have been a top 5 pick if he wasn't a dumbass.

I remember seeing the kid play against UNC in the bowl game Tennessee was in a few years ago, and I thought he was a little classless SOB.

No question about his talent, but his maturity is a BIG question. That is something you never want to question in a QB.

Adam Schefter ‏@AdamSchefter 29m
RT @Buffalo_Wolf: NOT the Dolphins? ... Not the Dolphins. Tyler Bray is headed to Kansas City to the Chiefs.

KC signed him

Quote:
Chiefs signed Tennessee QB Tyler Bray.
Bray (6-foot-6 1/8, 232) has arguably the best arm among all draft-eligible quarterbacks. But 11 signal-callers heard their name called over the last three days, and Bray wasn't among them. He has a tendency to tank under pressure, was injury prone despite being a three-year starter at Tennessee, has major accuracy concerns, and offers an off-field track record not dissimilar from Ryan Mallett's. Bray remains highly intriguing because of his ideal build and ability to drive the ball with velocity and power. Bray might have more long-term upside than Alex Smith's current backup, Chase Daniel.

Yeap, 3 Florida draft picks this year. Makes one wonder if the scouts only go to a couple of school each yr.

I saw that as well. Coyle must be friends with their defensive coordinator or linebacker coach.

Jonathon Amaya left to Arizona in free agency. We drafted Don Jones in the 7th. Now we pick up Kovacs and Johnson. Looks like the #2 strong safety job is up for grabs. If I had to guess I'd say Jones will likely win out. He's got excellent speed and athleticism. But you never know. Maybe Kovacs or Johnson can steal the job away from him.

With our moves in the draft, I wouldn't be completely surprised to see us get rid of Carroll, Patterson, Marshall, and Carpenter around that June 1st mark

Good write up on Jasper Collins

Makes you wonder why he wasn't drafted.

Marshall is safe to me because he was brought in to be a nickle back and now Taylor and Grimes can start so he goes inside and at 6'2 he can succeed there

Bray just needs to grow up. He really has not done anything bad. Just some stupid college kid stuff.

He lacks maturity and that will come.

From Rotoworld without a knock on Ireland.

Quote:
(Rotoworld) Dolphins signed Mount Union WR Jasper Collins. Analysis: Collins (5-foot-10 1/4, 180) is the latest in a line of D-III Mount Union receivers to enter the NFL, following Pierre Garcon and Cecil Shorts. Collins caught 92 passes for 1,694 yards (18.4 YPR) and 22 TDs as a senior and ran forty times of 4.47 and 4.50 at his Pro Day, with a 1.56 ten-yard split. Collins needs to get stronger, but has a chance to develop into an explosive slot receiver.

(Rotoworld) Dolphins signed Arizona State S Keelan Johnson. Analysis: Johnson (5-foot-11 5/8, 209) made 18 starts at ASU, recording eight career interceptions. He is a converted wide receiver with ball skills and strong workout numbers. Johnson ran 4.54 at the Combine with a 36.5-inch vertical and an explosive 10-foot-5 broad jump. Despite generating little pre-draft buzz, Johnson is definitely a worthwhile flier for the Dolphins.
