You got to love it.....we have tons of picks in the late rounds. Whoopee doodle doo......it's acorn time. :boo:

Come on man. The talent is usually selected in the early rounds for a reason.

The old Ireland reappears.

Well, it was fun having a real GM while it lasted.

3 4th rounders and 3 5ths so this is where you take risks and I lvoe him, Swope, Stedman, Patton and Kenny Stills. Plus Lattimore in the 3rd day is perfect

Hartline was right when he said we needed to add depth. That is precisely what Ireland is trying to do. He is cashing on extra picks in the mid rounds. Smart move in my opinion.

Why take late round risks? Was there no talent left in the 3rd round?

Actually we have a bunch of picks in the 4th round (middle of the draft not LATE)... 7th, 9th, and 12th. If the Patriots do it, then its brilliant. I like it cause now we have more chances of not missing on a pick lol.

The more the better. I would take Ryan Swope, Jordan Poyer, and a safety.

Maybe Ireland is following his draft board?

This is where you build the depth on your roster. We can get a rb, a te, a sleeper wr who is dropping for some reason,a safety, some linebackers it's endless so why not do this? If it was NE or San Fran everybody would be excited

I guess at this point in the draft Ireland is throwing out his net in a wide manner to see which of his draft picks stick and make a difference.

Is that the same one that has put us 7-9 +/- a game for the last 4 years???

He is doing a lot better job this year, it seems, but there have been some puzzling moves.

There is good value and depth in the 4th and 5th rounds. Some folks are going to be happy and some folks are going complain.

I think this has been solid so far, but that is my opinion.

Or maybe his guy is gone so he's thinking let me get a bunch of guys that I like. Swope, Stedman are 2 guys who fit the wr description. Poyer is a good one, you can add linebacker depth. Lattimore may slip till later or Ellington. The big te from Stanford. I just think that it's about depth so why not try it. Don't get mad because it's Ireland because if it was other teams fans would love it

Exactly my point. Couldn't have said it better. It is what the Patriots do every draft. The reason they always have "good drafts." They really just double down...

I'd like to see us get Poyer Da'Rick Rodgers/Ryan Swope, and Franklin with our 4's. If we do that I won't be nearly as upset as I currently am

Well....they did get Miller in the 4th last year :yay: . The picks after that were quite forgettable.

In 2010 we got Reshad Jones in the 5th! I like the move and all the picks are in the first half of the 4th round.

They reached because he isn't a name but it doesn't mean he can't play

Do you even know who half the players are coming into the draft?

I bet you're just banking on what the "experts" are saying... and they ARE NEVER wrong. EVER.

I bet if Patterson or Marshall gets cut because Will Davis looks good that he will be PRAISING this pick smh

Am I wrong about Poyer still being available? Did I miss that pick?

I thought so. I would have much rather had Poyer than this kid. I may stand corrected, and I hope the kid is a steal, but I think Poyer would have been the better pick
