LSU CB Tharold Simon was arrested and charged with public intimidation, resisting an officer and unnecessary noise violation in his native Eunice, La. late Thursday evening.
Whoops. Considered a day-three prospect after skipping his senior season, Simon is now in danger of going undrafted. According to the police report, Simon "backed (his) vehicle in an aggressive manner" after being asked to move it out of the street, and told his arresting officer that he "(owned) Eunice." Gobsmacking stupidity.

I saw that. Made me think of the Denard kid out of Nebraska that the Patriots took in the 7th round last year. Fool would have went in the 2nd-3rd round.

Simon had a 3rd-4th round grade. Welcome to the 7th round probably young man.............. :hithead:

He was not arrested for being a jerk. He broke the law.

"LSU CB Tharold Simon was arrested and charged with public intimidation, resisting an officer and unnecessary noise violation..."

RS 14:122 Public intimidation and retaliation

(1) Public officer or public employee.

(2) Grand or petit juror.

(3) Witness, or person about to be called as a witness upon a trial or other proceeding before any court, board or officer authorized to hear evidence or to take testimony.

(4) Voter or election official at any general, primary, or special election.

(5) School bus operator.

B. Retaliation against an elected official is the use of violence, force, or threats upon a person who is elected to public office, where:

(1) The violence, force, or threat is related to the duties of the elected official.

(2) Is in retaliation or retribution for actions taken by the elected official as part of his official duties.

C. Whoever commits the crime of public intimidation or retaliation against an elected official shall be fined not more than one thousand dollars or imprisoned, with or without hard labor, for not more than five years, or both.

Amended by Acts 1979, No. 479, §1; Acts 2003, No. 1089, §2.

Like I said, sounds like BS.

You are entitled to your opinion.

Behavior like that still is illegal and will effect his draft stock. It definitely shows he does not even have enough restraint to at least wait until the draft is done. Maybe it is a one time deal and maybe he learns from the experience. It may also be the start of bigger things.

Im not the type to defend punks with bad attitudes. More often than not, I like to see people get whats coming to them. I dont feel too sorry for this guy. He was probably being cocky and arrogant, but I get an idea the officer responding was a little overzealous and may have escalated matters instead of calming the situation.

Oh well, I wasnt there.

Just want to remind more everyone. He could be innocent and just a victim of an overzealous policeman.
