Ireland says he doesn't think cornerback is a "huge need" but would like to address secondary at some point.

Ravens, 49ers, Patriots, Steelers, Giants and other great teams dont have pro bowl corners it's about the pass rush first

I agree that it is but I also think that if you have a great pass rush it makes your cbs much much better so idk when we will draft one

we don't have many major needs, but corner is definitely top 2 along with off. tackle

i agree but like those other team they won and all of them are more focused on pass rush then cbs especially the Giants and they have 2 rings so that holds credibility with me gotta be honest. Now we do need a cb but if we drafted 1 we have to ask will he be the difference in finally affecting Brady? Or would a monster pass rusher who frees up every rusher including Wake?

True, but our 2nd corner is a LONG way from being pro bowl, great, decent, mediocre or even starting CB caliber.

We need help there or we will see offenses eating us alive at that spot.

I agree with you there but I also think we can find a guy soon that will work

Correct, the shorter amount of time a QB has or feels he has the less amount of time a CB has to cover.

ireland has said before that he thinks good corners can be found later in the draft, which is why I haven't expected us to take a corner earlier than the 3rd round all along. I hope we get mcgee from the u at some point tho I think he's gonna be real good

It's a passing league. With the rules favoring the receivers so much, corner isn't a prime position anymore. Gotta get after the QB to stop the pass now.

exactly, we don't need pass rush anymore, that got solved yesterday. We need a starting corner.

Poyer, Taylor, Slay, Banks, and Amerson are all still available. I'm not worried about how we're going to address the issue. And, has been said before, a good pass rush will do a lot to act as a band-aid for us in that respect

Smokescreens baby!

We need an offensive tackle, we need an offensive tackle, we need an offensive tackle....

Bam! We trade up to get Dion Jordan!

We don't need a cornerback, we don't need a cornerback, we don't need a cornerback....

I'd love to see us get Terron Armstead to play ORT this year with 54. Then take someone like Amerson in the 3rd. Then we could even go after someone like Tyrann Mathieu in the 4th. Or Brandon McGee in the 5th. Bottom line, we have a lot of different options. This is a deep draft for DBs.

What if we get him for a late round pick? Like a 5th? The kid has serious talent.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I don't think the Dolphins are going to take this kid in a million years. But I can't get around the idea of how well he'd be able to handle the nickel corner job. I think he's an instant upgrade over Marshall that could play week one.

The guy kept failing drug tests he knew were coming. He didn't even attempt to mask them...

Not only is he irresponsible, he's not too bright.

No thanks.

And he did that as, ostensibly, a poor college student. Imagine the trouble he can get into with an NFL contract in his pocket.

Look at it this way wkloiber13. Let's say you smoke pot. Let's say you smoke a lot of pot. Let's also say that you know you're going to have a job interview in a few months and are going to be tested. Are you going to let yourself fail that test?

Depends if you believe that addiction is real, or simply a problem of weak mental control or no will power...

Me personally, your question is the test.. And its not are you going to let yourself fail, rather whether or not you have the ability to stop and stay stopped long enough to do so. If not you are an addict.

Millions of addicts walk the streets everyday free and clear of drugs. Its not an end of the road deal, kid just needs to do what he has to to stay outta trouble....
