I'd still love to see Austin be the pick...I just don't see it happening. Especially if the Jets go ahead and take him at #9 which I'm hearing is a real possibility.

Sticking with the theme of the thread here goes:

1. KC - Joeckel
2. Jax - Jordan
3. Ari (trade) - Fisher
4. SD (trade) - Johnson
5. Det - Ansah
6. Cle - Milliner
7. Oak - Floyd
8. Buf - Warmack
9. NYJ - Austin
10. Ten - Cooper
11. Phi - Lotulelei
12. Mia - Eifert
13. NYJ - Mingo
14. Car - Richardson
15. NO - J. Jones
16. STL - Vaccaro
17. Pit - Patterson
18. Dal - Fluker
19. NYG - Carradine
20. Chi - Ogletree
21. Cin - Reid
22. STL - Hunter
23. Min - Hayden
24. Ind - D. Jones
25. Min - S. Williams
26. Buf (trade) - Nassib
27. Phi (trade) - G. Smith
28. Den - Te'o
29. NE - Woods
30. Atl - Werner
31. SF - Cyprien
32. Bal - Minter

Miami also gets Albert by trading 54th pick.

Not even going to try and guess 42 because I think its going to be someone who slips that we don't expect ala Martin last year.

I know its unlikey we'll take Eifert and Patterson, but I'm hoping Patterson slips to the 2nd round. Either that or Xavier Rhodes, Sylvester Williams, or Bjoern Werner. But I'd be just fine if Desmond Trufant, Johnthan Banks, Cornelius Carradine, or Damontre Moore were there.

I don't think any of those guys (Rhodes, Williams or Werner) are slipping into the second round. Neither is Trufant in my opinion. And I think that Banks is more of a third round prospect. So that leaves Carradine and Moore. I plugged Moore in as the pick, but I would be thrilled with either one.

I suspect Miami will package picks to move up and take another darn lineman. We just keep throwing high picks at the lines and we will surely see the team climb out of mediocrity....right? We can look for talent at the skill positions in those later rounds. That worked wonderfully last year :)

I want to see Eifert or a top cornerback in round one, but that just isn't the Ireland way.

Thanks, appreciate it. I'll be honest, it got very hard and I'm by no means "draft informed" so I think the latter half will be different than what I mocked.

I think the top 10 trades are reasonable. I know everyone is saying Nassib at 8 but Buffalo doesn't have a lot of competition to get him so filling the Levitre hole and trading up for your QB afterwards seems more likely. I also think Chip Kelly would make the move to get Smith and have both guys (Smith, Lotulelei) he scouted heavily. I think that would be quite a splash for the rookie coach.

For Miami I think the wildcard is Cleveland. They could grab Eifert and really mess up the top 10.

I don't see us taking a TE in the first round, especially after we picked up one in the off season.

I'm going to pick:

12. Xavier Rhodes CB

My list in order for the first round Phin draft go:

Luke Joeckel OT
Eric Fisher OT
Lane Johnson OT
Chance Warmack OG
Desmond Trufant CB
D.J. Fluker OT
Dee Milliner CB
Xavier Rhodes CB
Jonathan Cooper OG

If someone slips down I'd take them over Rhodes, but I'm guessing he'll be first on my list at the 12 spot. Maybe Fluker, but once the run on position starts teams want to grab up that spot.

Have to admit that when I look at how teams will pick in the first round this year I see the mentality of "ok, what can I not get later on that I should just take care of now" as opposed to targeting and falling in love with certain players. The mock drafts seem to reflect that too.

The value is really in rounds 2-4.

I think you're more informed than you let on. This first round is close to impossible to predict.
My struggles start immediately with Oakland and just continuue through the top 12. Gotta think teams will be trading up and down in this draft. I am convinced that Cleveland is the trade hole. Whether it be Miami San Diego or Arizona, Lane Johnson should be the 6th pick for some team.
