There goes those trade rumors again. I don't think it happens and RotoWorld sums it up best.

Adam Schefter wrote:
With trade speculation focusing on Marshawn Lynch, don't forget the Dolphins have been open to dealing RB Ronnie Brown for well over a year.

Schefter points out that Brown, the subject of 2009 trade rumors, has been on the block for "well over a year." The problem is that Brown is coming off a Lisfranc fracture and entering the final year of his rookie contract. He's worth more to the Fins than the mid- to late-round pick they could get for him.

Hard to trade a RB with the injury history of Ronnie and get any value back. IF Miami did trade Brown before the draft, can you say CJ Spiller.

This just might be lazy reporting, given the annual rumors on this one.

I sure hope so. Ronnie Brown is too important to this offense.

15,13,7,16 and 9 - Number of games played since entering the league.

4.4, 4.2, 5.1, 4.3 and 4.4 - Avg per carry per season.

4, 5, 4, 10 and 8 - Rushing TD's per season.

Bottom line, He hasn't been anything special except when he ran the wildcat. If you ask me a lot of it had to do with the offensive line. If Ricky at 30 something can do it what the hell do we need Brown for. IMHO, get rid of Brown right f---king now before he f---ks us again by getting hurt at which point we lose the mid to late round that we were going to get.

If the trade goes through then Spiller has to be the pick.

Not sure a Brown trade equals taking Spiller with the 12th pick, but it could happen. Even if RB were traded, I bet Miami would grab someone a little later on. I dont think they'd have a problem going forward with Williams, Hilliard/Cobbs and a rookie they grab (lots of 2nd, 3rd and 4th round opportunities).

I said it a while back and I'll stand by it (and take another beating for it), I think Miami could move Brown and be okay. His injury history is something the brass looks down on (ask Smiley). Landing a couple of midround picks for an injury prone and almost 30 year old running back is probably appealing in such a deep draft.

But like the potential trades for Miles Austin (or any other Cowboy for that matter), I doubt this happens.

There is no trade. It's just speculation. Shefter must be bored. Ricky can't do what Brown can do. You saw him wear down at the end of the season. You saw him fumbling all over the place. Ronnie Brown may be injury prone. But, make no mistake about it.. He is the best Running Back we have. But, that is JMO.

I guess he's just remembered it. There is a catch though ....

Oh, by the way, Brown has still not signed his restricted free agent tender. He cannot be traded until he does so.

:war: Its a gamble ether way we go if we trade him and we get something that pans out like another pick n this years draft or we get a player we need at (wr) or something like that then we look good for trading him....but if we keep him and he ends up hurt this year and we didnt draft a solid back to go along with Ricky and crew then we look stupid

Yes I agree 1000% Ricky can't do what Ronnie can do but, to be quite honest, Ronnie can't do what Ronnie can do when hurt. If he get's hurt again, which is now highly likely(based on previous history), we end up asking Ricky to do the same thing only better.

Yes it is speculation but, IMHO a very plausible one only if to get rid of Brown because he's been injury prone.

Ronnie will not get traded... this "rumor" is Just Adam Schefter saying his thoughts... there is nothing more to this story that we already don't know.

Therefore... no trade, big RB market and also who would trade his 1st for a RB that tends to get injured these days?

Silly...

Who said anything about trading a 1st?

Sure, but that's if somebody signs him. He signed his tender, so he can be dealt for whatever.

Well then Brown can't even be on the trade block if that's the case.
