Exactly what I was thinking. I wouldn't be surprised to see him working as an o-line coach somewhere soon. Despite his recent failures as a coach and coordinator, this is a guy who knows football and has been around the game/league for a long time. He likely has many friends out there who would be willing to offer him a job.

Same reason Dave Wanndstache got hired in Buffalo. Old boy network is strong in the NFL.

The Miami Herald reports Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross and General Manager Jeff Ireland are meeting with former Dolphins head coach Dave Wannstedt about a defensive assistant position with the team.

At least Wannstedt got this team to the playoffs....he was certainly not the worst coach this organization has had as of late....

I disagree. He was easily the worst coach in the NFL at the time and is the worst coach in Dolphins history.

I'd bring him in as Assistant Defensive Waterboy, but not much else.

Definitely worse than Cam Cameron. A terrible hire by the Jets considering the guy never called any plays here. Our offense was always hand-cuffed to whoever was the O coordinator and Sparano never showed that he had any sort of distinct offensive philosophy. Did a terrible job managing the Tebow thing because the wildcat rage was never his thing here. All David Lee and Henning.
