This is what I was referring to in the race card thread about how the political class is using demagoguery and race to shield itself from opposing viewpoints.

In order to marginalize the Tea Party, left-wing politicians routinely pull out the race card and another, possibly more devious card. The terrorism card. Now Tea Party members are Tim McVeighs and the right wing is becoming the first suspect whenever domestic terrorism occurs. When some wackjob flew his plane into an IRS building, the Tea Party got mentioned a lot by the media. When another wackjob pulled out an assault rifle in DC, he too was linked to the "right wing (nevermind the fact he was a registered Democrat). The guy that threw a bullet into Republican Eric Cantor's office and received multiple hate letters and even a hate video hardly gets mentioned. He was a lifelong liberal who hates Jews.

Now the race card has morphed into the terrorism card with the race card as the backup plan. The left and the media is essentially trying to paint the right wing as racist terrorists in order to marginalize their arguments. When you can't win the debate, you resort to this type of stuff.

Various politicians and members of the media blamed the "right-wing" for the failed New York car bomb terrorist attack, now they are afraid of "racism" against Muslims.

Monday, May 3, 2010:

Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-NY): "Whether the guy who did this, or the people who did this were with some Islamic terrorist group or whether they were some right-wing nut group or whether they were by themselves, in one sense it doesn't matter."

CNN Terrorism analyst Peter Bergen says its probable the Times Square car bomb attempt was by a "right-wing" terrorist.

MSNBC's Chris Matthews and NBC News Terrorist Analyst Roger Cressey discuss the theory of someone with a "right-wing" agenda.

Tuesday, May 4, 2010

MSNBC's Dylan Ratigan: "How do you deal with these types of crimes without resulting in racism, effectively, towards people of Pakistani or Middle Eastern descent?"

MSNBC CIA Analyst: "You're gonna see the Tea Party being, you know, being strengthened. You're going to see people blaming the White House for a situation it didn't create."

NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg: "I want to make clear that we will not tolerate any bias or backlash against Pakistani or Muslim New Yorkers." ... acism.html
