Once again, the Jets are in the headlines for all the wrong reasons.

Jets running back Mike Goodson charged with firearm, marijuana possession.

In New Jersey it is.

"Hollowpoint ammunition is available for unrestricted purchase from most retailers wherever firearms are sold, and may be transported by purchasers without special licensing. However, hollowpoint bullets may not be carried outside of a place of target practice, dwelling, premises or land possessed by a person, even if one has a valid permit to carry a handgun, except when being transported directly to and from these places"

I got this off of Yahoo Answers.......so take it for what it's worth.

You can purchase them and keep them in your home. You can use them at the range.

"You cannot possess them at any other time. For example, if you have a carry permit, you cannot carry hollow point bullets in your gun.

Note that the statute makes possession of a hollow point bullet a felony. It does not mention cartridges, it bans the bullet itself. You don't even have to have a gun on you. Possession of a hollow point bullet by itself is illegal unless you meet one of the exemptions listed above."

That's crazy...A .22 Stinger is a felony.

LMFAO ..... Garrard done with a knee injury.

I can't believe we even had that clown in camp last summer stealing snaps.

Definitely not your typical Jets clown...Garrard is a respectable player, age is just catching up to him. No shame in not giving up.

Garrard was a very good athlete in his prime. Good guy too, his body just doesn't seem to be responding well anymore and that is the harsh reality for NFL players, some go out on their own terms and others their body tells them when they have to end their career.

Next year will be entertaining to watch. It's going to be like a prime time soap opera. Rex Ryan will be fighting for his job. I'll be surprised if the Jets win more than 4 games next year regardless of who the QB is.

And I, for one, am going to love seeing it!

I can't believe the Jets actually signed this guy. He's been nothing but trouble, so, they shouldn't be surprised by the latest things he has done.

Quote:
Goodson was arrested last week on drug and weapons charges, and that kind of issue arising apparently came as no surprise from NFL people who knew Goodson’s background. ESPNNewYork.com quotes a scout from another team saying of the Jets, “Do these guys do background checks?” The Jets say they do, in fact, investigate players before signing them, although they declined to comment specifically on Goodson’s past.

That past, according to ESPN, includes a slew of lawsuits over everything from child support to repeated failure to pay his rent to refusing to pay the bill after buying jewelry on credit to skipping his car payments.

Goodson has been sued by three different women for child support for a total of six children he fathered with them. He also didn’t pay a $56,465 bill at a jewelry store, and after the store sued him, the amount he owed was garnished from his Raiders paychecks. And when Goodson was playing for the Panthers, he failed to pay his rent so often that he was sued for it three times and received two eviction notices. Goodson was also sued by a man who sold him a $49,000 Mercedes and said Goodson didn’t make the payments.
