One year after bringing Tim Tebow to Broadway, creating a nationwide fascination that slowly evolved into a salacious controversy, the New York Jets made the long-anticipated move Monday of releasing one of the NFL's most popular players.

And this is posted in the Dolphins forum because _______ .

I like the guy myself, and it's not just because I am a Christian. I think he can be a QB in the NFL, but a team has to commit to him. He's a winner.

So the Jets are down to what...5 QBs now?
And maybe 1 of them is worth an nfl roster space

A wise man once said that if you have two QBs fighting for the starting QB job then you don't have a starting QB. The Jets have 5. What does that say about them? Lol

Well sometimes that statement is true but not all the time. We had an open 3 way battle last season...

Too funny, but where did Spitler come from? More like Camarillo, Marshall, Davis, Long, Bess and now Tebow. For better or for worse, Tebow is done in the NFL. The funny part is Peyton Manning hasn't won a playoff game in Denver and might never do it, but Tebow did. I think if he were to go to Canada for a few seasons and light it up, someone might take a flier on him again in a few years. Right now, he is way too polarizing an individual. 100 cameras follow the guy to taco bell.

I think you and Tim himself are the only ones who think he can be an NFL QB at this point. Teams were calling about switching him to TE, what does that tell you?

Better to teach Tebow how to properly play the position he is experienced at then to try and train him in a new role.

Here's a column I wrote today.

I too wrote an article about Tebow today, but I must say, yours is much better onlygators. Kudos on a well thought out, eloquent article!

Yes. Manning obviously sucks compared to Tebow. Why didn't I realize this before?

I think he was just pointing out the irony of it all.

I would like to see Tebow do well in the NFL in any position. However I don't see the opportunity presenting itself. I wish him nothing but the best.
