Browns nose tackle Shaun Rogers was arrested Thursday at Hopkins International Airport for having a loaded gun in his carry-on luggage.

Rogers, who had been at the Browns' suburban training facility in recent days for a voluntary offseason program, was stopped at a security checkpoint on Concourse C when officials spotted a loaded .45-caliber handgun in his bag, police said in a statement.
Rogers was arrested at 12:15 p.m. "without incident," transferred to a downtown processing center and booked for carrying a concealed weapon, a third-degree felony.

I do not understand how Unaware these athletes are about laws and regulations. Just plain Dumb

Forget athletes...people are dumb everywhere. You just hear about it when they're in the public eye.

Yes he is what was he thinking he could just get on a plain and keep his gun with him asd what does he need a gun for. Who is going to bother someone that size enough that u would have to shoot him. If he feels he needs a gun then get new ppl to hang around with or just keep it at home

Yep, the story here in NE Ohio is he was stopped at home after a trip from Michigan to check on some property of his, and he was on his way to Houston with teammate Robaire Smith to celebrate Easter with their families. Rogers was running late, so he grabbed the carry on bag that contained the gun without checking it. He has a CCW permit valid for Michigan, which is also honored by the State of Ohio. Especially with that being said, why wouldn't you know where your weapons are AT ALL TIMES? Duh. He is facing criminal charges currently. Once those are resolved, I'm sure he'll be summoned to NYC for a meeting with Sheriff Goodell. My guess is a 4 to 6 game suspension is in his immediate future.
