Every rookie needs time to adjust and Weeden may yet be a good NFL QB, but if he take 3-4 years to really blossom that puts him at around 32 I believe.

I'm not concerned with the Browns, I just find the potential dilemma fascinating and wonder how they'll handle it. Could be a new coach/new GM anyway and they might prefer to just start over at QB anyway.

The beauty of the new rookie pay scale is that they can move on quickly. For Cleveland its not that Weeden is or will be a bust, but they can probably afford to have another top pick who is a potential upgrade. Jacksonville could easily move on from Gabbert, and teams like Kansas City and Oakland can pair up a young guy with their overpaid vet.

The Weeden situation is just so unique because of his age.
