 Punt Return teams
It seems to be a mistake made every week I watch football. Punts that hit the ground should not be touched by the return team unless it's off one hop. If a player touches the ball from the return team, it becomes a live ball. Why are these guys getting ANYWHERE near these dribbling balls if they have no intent of picking it up? It's a basic fundamental of football that is apparently ignored by coaches and players these days.

 Re: Punt Return teams
Kyle Williams should probably be cut for costing the 49ers that came... how do you do that once, let alone twice???

 Re: Punt Return teams
Y'know , one can say as soft as Ted Ginn is , had he played & even if he was just in there to return kicks , the 49ers would be in the super bowl.

One can't say that because why would Ginn have 1. helped the 49ers score and 2. not fumbled? The guy lost Miami many games...to suggest that he wouldn't have coughed at least one up in a big game isn't a wise suggestion.

 Re: Punt Return teams
Dont think he would have fumbled. Dont think he would have helped them score but by not fumbling they get a shot at winning. we will never know.

 Re: Punt Return teams
I think he might have scored... Williams slashed through that special teams unit for 40 yards... and Ginn is a far better return man.
