Rams & Bucs in Talks to Swap Picks?
I can't find this anywhere but I swear I heard them talking about it on NFL Total Access.
The Bucs want Suh so they're looking to trade up to the #1 spot to insure they get him.
Thoughts?

That'd be a mistake for the Rams. A guy like Spagnuolo would dominate with Suh...then he could sign Aaron Kampman...the Rams would have a dominate front 4.

I read it on rotoworld.
That would be a great trade for St. Louis.

I think he's implying that the Rams need A LOT of work and getting more draft picks would only help.
They could still snag a top tier Offensive Linemen at this spot.

Yes, they certainly do need a lot of help, and this is a deep draft...but this is a rare year where there is a clear number 1 pick, and you have it...plus, Suh in Spagnuolo's defense would just be dominate. If you can have one dominate aspect on your team, especially a front four, it will do wonders for your team as a whole.

As much as I love Suh, you can still get one heck of a player at number 3, (obviously), plus you now have an extra 3rd round pick, AND you get a yung QB to develop, who has a ton of promise?? I'd do it if I was St. Louis. Especially considering there's a chance McCoy could be there.

Re: Rams & Bucs in Talks to Swap Picks?
Quote: The Bucs and Rams have reportedly explored a deal that would send the No. 3 overall pick, a third-round pick, and QB Josh Johnson to St. Louis for the first overall selection.
The Bucs would then draft Ndamukong Suh with the No. 1 pick. According to Scout.com, the Rams compare Johnson to Michael Vick athletically, and they believe he has even more upside as a passer. While Johnson is an intriguing developmental QB, he's not close to being ready to start at the NFL level. The proposed deal makes sense for the Bucs, but it wouldn't solve the Rams' quarterback dilemma for 2010. http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playernews.aspx?sport=NFL&filter_teams=TB

Re: Rams & Bucs in Talks to Swap Picks?
If you think you can get McCoy at 3, than I think it makes it a great trade. If you are convinced he'll go to Detroit at 2, than it's not as great a trade, but still a good one.
St. Louis needs as much help as possible, and a 3rd round pick this year, (a very high one at that), is like a early 2nd round pick in most drafts.

Though Suh has had a couple knee injuries, I think the Rams would be better off drafting Clausen because they need a franchise quarterback of the future, which is a much more important position than a 4-3 DT.
