 Re: Kiffin to USC
I sure didn't.....Wow Quote: Lane Kiffin returns to Southern California after one year at Tennessee By Beth Rucker (CP) – 1 hour ago
Lane Kiffin is returning to Southern California as the Trojans' coach after just one season at Tennessee.
Kiffin was chosen Tuesday to replace Pete Carroll, his mentor and employer for six seasons. Kiffin was the Trojans' offensive co-ordinator before his brief stints with the Oakland Raiders and the Volunteers.
His father, respected defensive coach Monte Kiffin, and longtime USC assistant Ed Orgeron also will leave Tennessee to join him, USC said in a statement.
ESPN.com first reported the surprising move by Kiffin and the Trojans, who needed just one day to fill one of the most desirable jobs in college football. Carroll formally took over the Seattle Seahawks on Tuesday after winning 97 games, seven Pac-10 championships and two national titles over the past nine years. http://www.google.com/hostednews/canadi ... Re: Kiffin to USC
I understand that you cannot let a job like this get past you, but he was only on the job for a year at Tennessee. What about the kids you promised in your negotiations? Tennessee is a good coaching job. In my opinion, this hurts his integrity. Everyone knew that old Goofus would leave USC for the right NFL coaching job at some point.

Craig Carton says that a lot... these kids who committed because of Kiffin should be allowed to leave without penalty.

Even though I don't like the guy, and I def. don't like his ways.. I thought he would have the Vols playing well in a year or two. Especially w/ his dad and the coaching staff he had there. Oh well.... Roll Tide.

 Re: Kiffin to USC
This guy's arrogance is ridiculous. He's like a spoiled child who's never had to earn anything in life. I feel sorry for all these kids who were persuaded by him to go to Tennesseeand are now left wondering who will be coaching them. Not to mention the trouble he caused in only one year there, what a bum.
