Maybe he out thought himself. Figuring they would not expect him to run that same play after making that comment.
Again all we are doing is playing the results. Had the play worked this time and the play went for 40 yds. No one & I mean no one is here complaining about him running that same play.

Its only because it did not work is anybody saying anything.

When is the last time Sherman coached in the NFL? The game has changed quite a bit and his system seems to lack a lot of the things being used by today's offenses. Not sure how great of an offensive mind he is anymore.

2007. Don't believe the game changed that much.

As for Philbin, I said it before we hired him. He wasn't the one calling the plays in Green Bay and it wasn't his system (and got slammed for mentioning it).
Honestly not a Philben fan. However, I'm hoping for the best.

If you had told anybody he was going to make those calls, we would have told you it wasn't going to work and that's the point. Because we've seen those outside runs over and over and seen the same results over and over.

Again had it worked this one time. No one says a thing & that is my point. Playing the results.

Not really, it is because it has yet to work.. If it was one play, one week.. Poor execution, or a defense making a play is understandable. Its not tho, its something our team is struggling to excecute, so it is a low percentage play that is called in a critical point in the game..

And make no mistake about it, this is 100% Mike Sherman's offense, same one he has used for years.. Identical to the one he ran at A&M with one exception, he does not roll the QB out here like he did there. Not this year yet anyway. We saw a glimpse of it last season, but that was a different o-line.

In 6-7 years, the passing game has changed a lot.

Ok, what play should he have ran? What would the results of that play have been?

Depends on just what you are referring to. I will say in 2007 there were seven 4K passers. 2012 there were 11.

There was only one in 2012. 3 in 2011. None in '09 & '10. 4K would suit that comment.

And how many before that....."Only"

You should really refrain from thinking you are teaching a lesson in kindergarten everytime you come here....It's really sad and usually wrong

Maybe you should read the post, before rushing to provide personal shots. Maybe it would prevent you from asking questions that have pretty much already been answered. Move on, you have been told many times by the staff to move forward.

I listed that there were 3 in 2011. None in '09 & '10.
( Not sure what more I can do. )

Here is my quote:

Quote:
There was only one in 2012. 3 in 2011. None in '09 & '10. 4K would suit that comment.

The answer to your question would be a total of 5.

There have only been six 5K passers in the history of the NFL. Many have been close, but not reached the pinnacle.. It is moving that direction.

NFL Seasonal Passing Records

If this quote makes you think I'm speaking to you like I'm teaching a lesson in kindergarten, then its on you.

Quote:

I would like to know how you would have responded to anyone who made that comment about the 5K being a joke, and you disagreed with it.

Maybe you should look within as to why when someone or I disagrees with you and replies with just the simple facts, it make you feel like they are talking to you like a kindergartener.

I was just simply disagreeing with you that the 5K passing mark has become a joke and was pointing out with the facts that there was only one in 2012 3 in 2011. None in '09 & '10..

Since I do not believe I'm teaching a kindergartner, I figure you will be very capable of doing the math on the number of 5K passers over the last four yrs and the average numbers per yr over the last 4 yrs..

Now if you are interested in discussing this, I'm in. If you just want to lash out to make yourself feel better by calling me names or whatever then feel free. I'm not playing.

I know we need to define our comments and sometimes their is a need to clarify, but Dave put this website together to talk about the Dolphins not to get into bickering matches.

Perfect world, it would be nice.

No need to interject into the games being played. It is what it is.

So, my question is, how would one react to the future?

Dphins you just keep saying we're reacting to the past... well how the heck can we react to the future if it hasn't happened yet?

Is anyone here from the future?

For the record, I call a QB sneak on that "inches play" every time.

Been awhile on this thread, but I do not recall using the term " Reacting to the past" Without re-reading every post I made in this thread. I believe I said, all they are doing is playing to the results. Had it worked the 3rd time after failing the first two, then no one is here complaining about the call was my point.

We will never know the results of that play.
