Post Dolphins next 5 games
bills @ Dolphins
Dolphins @ pats
bengals @ Dolphins
Dolphins @ bucs (Thurs night)
chargers @ Dolphins (Mon night)

I predicted 4-1 for the first 5 games, and it almost came true. I think if the Dolphins get their act together, they can go 5-0 on this next set of game. I'm serious.

"No one can go back and make a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending."

I think it is all in the coaching. Philbin has to get these guys on the same page.

They're not beating NE in NE like this, or Cincy at home.

The other 3 games should be wins. SD making that trip for a 1 p.m. start is always tough. Tampa stinks and Buffalo is going to start an undrafted rookie at QB.

The pats are extremely beatable even in NE. The Bengals blow. Their Offense is awful so as long as we dont give up turnovers, we'll beat'em easy.

Miami will beat them easily? Miami could very well be 1-4 right now. Beat easily are not words I would use for the Dolphins vctory.

I would be more worried about the chargers than the pats or bengals.

The Dolphins could have been 4-1 also. I think they played much better than a 1-4 team. The first 5 games were pretty tough. The pats are the ones who are very lucky they are not 1-4, and they haven't had nearly as tough of a schedule!

I agree, but considering Miami has not beaten any team easily, means to use those words would be reckless.

The Ravens offense is not that good and they were a very vulnerable team.

If Miami can't run the ball or protect Tannehill they could easily go 1-4 on this stretch.

I'm really hoping those wins over the Colts and Falcons weren't simply due to opponent injuries and DCs not knowing how to gameplan this offense.

Not sure about the Chargers defense but the other opponents have solid defenses. They'll present challenges for Miami's o-line.

The local pee-wee team presents challenges for Miami's OL.

The next 5 teams on our schedule haven't beaten anyone easily either. Well, maybe the pats did handle the bucs pretty well, but for the most part, those teams have had really hard fought wins, just like the Dolphins have.

chargers record 2-2 (night game pending)
chargers 28 - texans 31
chargers 33 - eagles 30
chargers 17 - titans 20
chargers 30 - dallas 21
chargers ? - oakland ?

pats record 4-1
pats 23 - bills 21
pats 13 - jets 10
pats 23 - bucs 3
pats 30 - falcons 23
pats 6 - bengals 13

bengals record 3-2
bengals 21 - bears 24
bengals 20 - steelers 10
bengals 34 - packers 30
bengals 6 - browns 17
bengals 13 - pats 6

The Dolphins have NEVER gone into NE and beaten Brady (in a meaningful game).

Don't know how you can pencil that in for anything except a loss.

The other games are winnable, of course.

That game against Cincy is as important as can be. Either Balt or Cincy will win that division, and you can't win a tie against either of them if you lose.

Until this team gets a few healthy defenders back, they will continue to struggle.
1. Bills should be a win.
2. Pats will do exactly what M. Ryan and Flacco did...make enough plays to be in the game at the end.
3. Bengals - will beat Miami. Miami's OL just won't be able to keep the Bengals Pass Rush off Ryan
4. Bucs - Should be a win but Miami never blows these guys out even when they should. It always seems to come down to a FG.
5. Chargers - Their offense is geared toward a defense like Miami's...short, quick throws. This one will go down to the wire.

Finally - If the Dolphins can't find a way to get the refs to treat them like they're at home, it'll be a long season. It seems that at the wrong time a BS call goes against Miami regardless of whether it was the right one. They face it on the road all the time. It would be nice to get those calls going the other way for once.

That game is on short rest after a big game versus New England. That is why this Baltimore game was so important.

The one hope for Miami is that Andy Dalton is a crap shoot so far and will not beat them deep. Put some pressure on him and force turnovers.

The Cincy pass rush will be reminiscent of what we just saw against Baltimore.
