I saw the play live. It was a freaky injury.

They let him walk for other reasons.

I already knew we made the right decision. Miller is the right back for this team. One cut and he's gone in a flash. zero dancing.

Week 1 he danced way too much. Today was better.

Still a little hesitation when trying to get outside on a couple of runs, but he's getting there.

The deeper we get into the season, the better Lamar is going to get. Daniel Thomas also looked good today. Running with good power and balance, something we haven't seen yet from him.

He only danced because he had nowhere to run last week. Bush would dance through wide open holes.

Heck, the Browns stuffed Ray Rice today. They will probably end up as the best rushing "D" in the league this year. Makes week one seem less troubling......

Bush has always been injury prone.

I still wonder why even at 2-0 now we dwell on the past. Reggie Bush gave 100% here , was benched for a BS reason , when questioned about it he took the high road. While he is injury prone his attendance while playing here was stellar. He is gone , it was a business decision as well as a performance one as well. He was never used the right way here ... that seems to be forgotten now. Yeah , he will have his injuries but the right thing , wrong thing is crazy already.
I know we are not used to winning but I would imagine fans of winning teams just tend to move on.

This is the same reason Bush slowed down last season after a fast start. He was on pace to put up 1600 yards after two weeks and then injured his knee and never looked the same the rest of the season.

That has always been the issue with Bush.

That was my thinking when I posted this....his knee continues to be an issue so we moved on with the younger more promising back in Miller.

They have a crystal ball in Irelands office...

LMAO

Seriously tho, I wish Reggie the best. Was a class act here, and played hard for us..

This is funny because I don't know how you get that out of what I wrote. I'll type slower this time.....I believe our FO was concerned with Bush's knee and didn't want to give him a new contract. No Crystal Balls just being cautious!!!
GET IT NOW?

Hmm... the knee never bends in a weird direction or anything...

Seems like a weak knee to me.

Anyway, Bush has historically always been knicked up one way or another. That was his reputation coming to Miami.

Lions running back Reggie Bush’s knee injury isn’t long term, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he’ll be back next week, coach Jim Schwartz said Monday.

All bickering aside, I am glad he is ok.. Guy was a class act while playing for us...

It inverts slightly ... I mean not Keller-style or anything. Just natural that when a defender is coming at you going the opposite direction of the knee. What made it worse was that the contact occurred as the foot planted down. That creates a "stiff" lock of the leg that can be dangerous to the knee when getting hit like that.

It is highly unusual to suffer a knee injury when the foot isn't planted.

It does plant, but the contact originates before that happens though. Once the foot hit the ground, that's when the leg locked and that's how it got tweaked. I had the same thing happen to me in a thanksgiving day tackle football game. You don't need to get crushed to hurt a knee.

Btw, just look closely at Peterson's shoulder too as he hits that area. Definitely was no love tap.

I'll stand by my assessment. If his knee can't handle a blow like that, he won't last the season.
