He hated that it was led by a bunch of vocal guys who were not of his choosing .... they were carryovers from the Sparano era.

Pouncey, Incognito, Wake, Solia are all carryovers as well.. And aside from Bush, both Dansby and Long would still be here if it wasnt for the $..

So long as they were voted on by the players as the leaders, I like it.

Ya, but my point was the previous LC had guys who often spoke their minds about things Philbin preferred to keep internally.

Dansby spoke out of line a few times, even when Sparano was here. Long wasn't worth a long term deal. They cheaped out on Bush imo.

The only thing I have against Bush is that he dated Kim Kardashian. But football-wise, when it came down to it, he didn't produce enough.

And I am thrilled with the common sense of Irelane (which he doesn't get nearly enough credit for). Resigning Long was a BAD idea. The guy will miss 10+ games over the next two years and won't be in football after that. He may be 27(ish) years old, but his body is more like 45.

I agree with this statement, Rock. Philbin didn't like how those guys were running their mouths, so getting rid of them sends a message to everyone else: Things aren't up for debate in Miami. His way or the Palmetto Expressway
