OK, how many games would we have WON last year with Marshall
Definitely the Indianapolis game. Most likely the Saints game too. What do you guys think?

Had we stayed injury free, and also had Marshall, we were Super Bowl contenders.

You know, I did not think that it was possible to be any worse off at FS than we were with Renaldo Hill back there. Amazing. I did exaggerate, however, I do think we would have made and won a playoff game.

Yeah, I agree, we would have beaten the Steelers and that would have put us in the playoffs.

No. In that case, sorry man. I'm a bit newer to the board and was just hoping that this was just friendly banter. It's an awesome day in dolphin history and i know emotions are running high, at least mine are, I guess I'm just being overly optimistic today.

Re: OK, how many games would we have WON last year with Marshall
I think we would have beaten the Saints and Colts....and Steelers. I also think we would have had a good shot of beating the Texans. Imagine what the team could have done in 2008 with Marshall on the squad and that cushy schedule We have another tough schedule next year and the Phins and Jets are in an arms race....but Brady and the brats are still the champs....gonna' be a hell of a battle in the AFC East in 2010

Re: OK, how many games would we have WON last year with Marshall
Don't know?? We got our points in most games last year.
We usually lost because our Defense couldn't stop them when we had to!! (Year before D made miracle stops for Ws)
Agree we really needed Franchise WR Marshall. Now we have to build the D to win, & the good news is ... that's Tuna's specialty.
MeThinks Tuna will draft DL (includes OLB & NT) as they're harder to come by & more expensive, drafting DL makes better sense than buying. (Same was true with previous drafts of LT, DL, & CB ... highest salaries)
Safeties are easier/cheaper to buy or trade for.

I feel that all we need is a good safety and this team should be a force. Can't wait for the draft!

Miami has one NT in Paul Soliai right now...and he was plain awful last year. The current guys to play OLB are Charlie Anderson and Cameron Wake. Sounds like a force to me.

Takes more than just one guy...Cam Wake cannot head up the field the way he would like if we have to be worrying about the run all the time.
Plus, Cam is going to get doubled if we don't opposite him with someone. Also, who says he can play in a base 34 yet?

Re: OK, how many games would we have WON last year with Marshall
We almost took both SB teams... to say we would not be a contender with that kind of firepower on O is unfair. Yes, we would have been a contender for the SB. Certainly as much as the other top 3 teams in the AFC.
As for next year, we got some bigger, larger holes to fill before I can make the same boast. First, JT = OLB for now and frees up a draft spot for top flight FS. Sign his butt. NT can come in the 3rd easy (Mt. Cody).

Re: OK, how many games would we have WON last year with Marshall
OK , back on topic. seems opinions here if we had Marshall last year we would have gone undefeated & won the super bowl ... I will expect no less this upcoming year.
this thread has gotten out of hand , just though i'd add to it.
I think the Patriots opened up the flood gates .... steal a receiver via trade with off the field problems (Moss) & rehabilitate him & have success. Jets & Dolphins have followed suit. In all cases I like the trade , like the player on the field but dislike the person(s)
