Now with Marshall, Miami has the big time WR needed to balance the offense out. While the Defense needs a lot of work, this offense might just be complete and ready to do this thing...

Thoughts?

They were good enough to win a Super Bowl before Marshall, so yes.

I don't know how to answer that question. We really struggled with consistency last year. I think its a toss up between depth on the oline and a good te.

You can chose more than 1 option.

Yes, but the Defense is our achilles heal. We scored with some big time offenses last year, but we couldn't stop crap. Especially the deep ball (FS!). Yes the offense can win, but not alone.

How about a combination of both.

It was a combination, but mostly pass rush, as even with Gibril out of the game, (and Clemons did play well), we still gave up way too many big plays. We gave QB's 4+ seconds to throw the ball consistently...you can't have that.

Wake was the only guy who provided consistent pressure down the stretch as even JT wore down. You need to draft somebody early on who can take time away from JT on the weak side, (assuming he resigns), and eventually replace him. Not only that, but if Wake cannot start on the strong side, you will be relying on Charlie Anderson...yuck. He's not bad, but not starting caliber.

Clemons did not play well. He looked lost out there.

It was hard to evaluate him as he was off the screen most of the time playing out in straight away center, but I am going to disagree.

I keep pointing out this game, but I think it holds value. In the NE game up in Foxboro, I was at that game and if I am not mistaken it was the first week he got significant playing time. When he came in the game, Brady was forced to look the other way several times. He was ready and in position to jump on a few passes that forced Brady to go elsewhere, and also had great coverage down the field on a couple deep balls to Moss, one which he batted away in the endzone.

Obviously Miami has different opinions and see him as a situational player with the type of interest we have had in FS's this off season, but I would be fine going into September with Culver and Clemons sharing the load at FS.

We'll see what your opinion of Clemons changes to after we acquire a free safety. :ann0y:

Wow 55% of you think we can win it all this year I still say we are more than 1 guy away from it all lets see what we do in the draft,FA, and who gets hurt.........on other teams that is alot of it has to do with luck or the bounce of the ball or a bad call on the refs so wait and see for me

Oh, I have no doubt that we will. Like I said later on in that post, the FO clearly disagrees with me. But hey.

If nothing else, he is a very good situational and special teams player.

Where is the evidence of this?

He was awesome on ST for us last year...always the first one down on kickoffs.

And with his speed and range...on 3rd and long he would be great to have out in center field for the reasons I mentioned before.

You must be confusing him with someone else. Like maybe Jason Allen who was actually an excellent special teams player for us. I seldom remember Clemons doing ANYTHING last year.

JA was great on punts, but on kick offs, Clemons was always the first one down.

He had 13 tackles all year. 9 of those coming in games he started.

Sorry but you're fabricating in your mind that Clemons was some sort of special teams ace.

Whatever you say Rich. There were very few kickoffs, that I saw, in which Clemons was not down there before anyone. The guy runs down the field with reckless abandon.

Coach Sparano even said in an interview about mid season, when asked a question about this subject, I remember he just nodded his head an laughed and said it's amazing how wuickly he gets down the field.

I say we get the super FS and a NT good enough for us to win half the first 8 games. Then when fergy comes back we run the stretch and take the gold :)
