Jonathan Martin is stuck in the middle of a what came first, the chicken or the egg debate, as everyone tries to decipher the Miami Dolphins' biggest riddle
Is Martin's early struggles as the Dolphins' starting left tackle a result of Oliver Vernon and Dion Jordan's prowess as effective pass rushers? Or is Jake Long's replacement not ready to protect Ryan Tannehill's blindside?
The Dolphins coaching staff openly admit they have no idea how to explain what's taking place in Martin's daily camp battles with the two young pass rushers. And the 10 snaps Martin took during Sunday night's 24-20 exhibition loss to the Dallas Cowboys didn't provide many clues.
In those 10 plays Martin was a forceful run blocker, but his defender did pressure Tannehill twice.
