DB Jimmy Wilson is focusing solely on safety this seasonPALM BEACH POST (Andrew Abraham) -
Wilson, a seventh-round pick in the 2011 draft, was initially converted to safety last season but returned to corner due to injuries. Wilson is expected to play a reserve safety role this year, and he said Wednesday that he’s naturally a cornerback but is developing into a safety.
“I played corner all my life, so I’m naturally just comfortable there,” Wilson said. “But at safety, I get to be more physical. I can help a lot more on the run and use my physical nature to help the team in creating plays. It’s really a toss up, but I feel like I’m forming more into a safety as I get more years into the league.” http://blogs.palmbeachpost.com/thedaily ... fense-man/ROTOWORLD -
Wilson entered the league as a cornerback out of Montana in 2011, and he rotated snaps between both defensive back spots last season. With the additions of Brent Grimes, Will Davis, Dimitri Patterson, and Jamar Taylor over the last eight months, Wilson can focus on one position. He'll fill a reserve role behind starters Reshad Jones and Chris Clemons, while playing special teams. http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/6740/jimmy-wilson
