Post NFL's most overrated players
3. Reggie Bush, RB, Detroit: Bush did win a Super Bowl with the Saints and did have his moments, but he has yet to live up to being the second overall pick in the 2006 draft. The Saints realized this, and now Bush is on his third team in four seasons.

MARIO WILLIAMS. That joke of a player's list as him rated at #74.......while Wake is at #89.

:)

Over rated based on where he was drafted... But that was 7 years ago..

When we signed him everyone swore he could not do what he said he wanted to do, yet he did.
He is no AP for sure, but he collects about 1/2 the pay as him as well..

So IMO he is not over rated. He is popular because he once dated a Kardashian, but that has nothing to do with football..

Exactly, that's absolutely nuts..........could you imagine any NFL team rather having Williams than Wake? Wake is definitely a top 50 player, personally I put him in the top 20, but I'm a bit biased.

Wake is easily a top 32 player

The players are not paid to have interests and study their peers. Websites/scouts like Pro Football Focus are, which is why their list is among the most credible, and the players' list the most laughable. Oh, and PFF also has Wake ranked as the 10th best overall player in the league too.

Not taking anything away from Cam Wake, but if he had Mario Williams athleticism, he'd be a bigger beast than he is. Mario Williams needs Cam Wake's heart and tenacious will. He brings it on every single play.

They should make a list with & without QBs. You could make a strong argument that the top 10-15 spots automatically go to the top 10 - 15 QBs in the league. You have to go back to the 2000 season, when the Ravens won the SuperBowl with Trent Dilfer, to find a Championship Team without an elite QB.

As good as Wake is, Tanehill is our most valuable player..........the future of the Phins will depend on his play more than any other player.

Bush had over 2,000 yards rushing, 500 yards receiving, and 15 touchdowns in the last two seasons with the Dolphins. He was our best offensive player. Not only that, but he did this during a coaching change, a huge shift in offensive philosophy, and having to overcome some minor injuries. Bush is a very versatile player who is an absolute game changer. He's not overrated in my eyes. He's the perfect 3rd down back in my opinion. If he was willing to sign for cheap he'd still be a Dolphin.

I hope Bush does well in Detroit. Maybe Detroit will use him more in their passing game. He had way to many rushing plays where he was dropped for a loss behind the line of scrimmage as a Dolphin for me to consider him anything more than mediocre as a rusher. And he spent too much time juking and dancing and not enough time just hitting the hole and getting what yardage he could get IMO.

If I remember right he said he was going to lead the league in rushing.

Overall Bush is a good guy. Very talented. But that talent Only adds up to mediocre results on the field. And that isn't worth $5m a year

3 years ago I thought Reggie Bush was over rated.
For the last 2 years I thought he was great.
Now I think he is over rated again.
Just the homer in me.

Bush is not a good system fit. Too much dancing and not enough getting yards.

Yep, for him to run the ball he needs some good upfront blocking so that he doesn't have to think too much looking for the hole. Do backs get the ball much in the passing game in the West Coast offense or are they looking to the receivers more for the quick pass? I've always been more of a fan of the vertical game rather than the WCO.

I am not saying that Bush would lead the league in rushing (I am glad that was his goal) but do you think his "mediocre" results might have been better if he had been used more and sometimes differently (like more pass targets out of the backfield) than he was?

I was surprised at his lack of vision when watching him run. Thomas has better instincts...just not the burst Bush has.
