Do you think Miami will complete the trade for Albert or go in another direction? I think Miami lowers their offer to one of the third round picks from this years draft and KC takes it.

I think KC eventually caves. The Chiefs have very little leverage.

I think it ends up costing a 3rd, and maybe a conditional mid round pick in 2014.

I'm thinking the same thing. I don't think the Dolphins want to budge as they have plans for the 2nd round. Ireland has his price and he seems to have a good pulse on what players are worth.

The Jags and Eagles drafted LTs... and have LTs on the roster.

If those guys get put on the trading block, all bets are off.

Philly doesn't have any good OT's lol. But I agree, Miami is about to gain a lot more options one way or the other.

Again, KC has no leverage. We're the only team interested; they just spent the #1 overall pick on a LT; Albert is on a one year deal and wants out....Miami should be able to stay strong and get this done the way they want.

In 2011, Jason Peters was the top rated tackle in the NFL according to PFF. Rated 4th in pass blocking and 2nd in run blocking.

Granted he is coming off an Achilles injury and was playing at 340 lbs...

What Rich said.....Unfortunately, Peters is coming off of 2 Achilles injuries.

Not only is Peters coming off of two Achilles injuries, but at 340lbs, he doesn't fit with what we want our offensive line to look like.

Quote:
Chiefs GM John Dorsey said Friday he anticipates restarting Branden Albert trade talks with Dolphins GM Jeff Ireland today.
Dorsey said Ireland and himself played "phone tag" Friday morning, but they have plenty of time left to work out a deal before the 54th overall pick goes on the clock. Ireland no longer has two second-rounders after surrendering No. 42 in the Dion Jordan trade. We expect Albert to be a Dolphin by late tonight.

None of the above. Martin is the guy. We draft competition for Gardner. Possibly today in the 2nd or 3rd round. Terron Armstead, Dallas Thomas, and Barrett Jones are all three athletic players capable of competing for a starting job at right tackle this year.

I'm hoping by the end of today we lock down an offensive lineman, a cornerback, another pass rusher if the plan is to leave Dion Jordan at Sam linebacker.

I vote to sign Winston and move Martin to LT. Keep our picks.
