With the Jags picking up Jockel in the draft, they now have two starting caliber LTs on their roster with one that will be due for an extension after this coming season. They weren't able to agree to an extension yet with Monroe leading to the selection of Jockel.

I think Jags have to be looking to trade Monroe now or risk losing him for nothing after the season.

With us missing out on all the ELITE LT prospects and maybe settling for Albert, Monroe could be a good pickup for us. He's actually really improved himself and is now considered one of the better young (part of the 25 & under group) and good left tackles in the game.

Think the Phins should try to trade a late pick this year and a 2nd next year or maybe throw Bess in.

what do you guys think?

Monroe, ranked 15th overall, 10th for left tackles.

Ranked 18th as a pass protector, not as high as Albert, but ranked 19th as a run blocker, which is way better than Albert.

But he gave up 5 sacks, 7 hits and 22 hurries. Way too high.

Rich, how many of those sacks, hits, and hurries do you think could be attributed to Blaine Gabbart and his poor decision making?

PFF won't count those against a player if it was someone else's screw up. For example, if an offensive lineman maintains his block and the QB runs into a sack, they won't attribute it to the lineman.

But they also can't account for a QB's slow progression on reading the defense and holding on to the ball to long. Not saying that happened but it could be a possiblilty.

That's the point I was trying to make Md. I don't have a PFF subscription so I don't know how they go about accounting for things like that.
