I read on the 17th that the Dolphins are offering a 3rd rounder so its going to be interesting to see what happens

Kansas City wants our first 2nd round pick, but I think they'll likely settle for the second one. They want to part ways with him and bring in Luke Joeckel, and we want to bring in a proven veteran to protect Tanny's blindside

I think KC can still say that if we were to be difficult that they would put Joeckel at rt for a year a try again next year

Right now, Miami has leverage. They are the only team that has looked into Albert.

We've got the leverage, but there's no way that KC is going to let Albert walk for anything less than our second 2.

I think I had saw something that stated KC would be fine with #54. That would work for me.

The last thing I saw was that KC was standing firm on our first selection in the second round and we were standing firm on the second. Apparently coming down to who's going to blink first, and I think that will be KC

At least one NFL team has "major reservations" about Arkansas-Pine Bluff OT Terron Armstead's back.
We knew Armstead played the entire 2012 season with a sprained AC joint in his shoulder, but had heard nothing of back woes. The shoulder injury is routine and fixable, but back problems can be very concerning for offensive linemen (see Marcus McNeill, Sam Baker, Chris Samuels, and many more.) If multiple teams have a medical red flag on Armstead, he could fall in the draft.

Supposedly Albert wants Jake Long money, which is not going to happen. This is getting interesting to say the least. My thinking is the Dolphins want Albert in that 7-7.5 mill range/per year.

Here is the story from YahooSports.com and Jason Cole.

Here's a look at the moves expected to be done:

1. Branden Albert to Miami – This is only going to happen if the price on Albert – particularly the $8 million-$9 million a year it's believed he's seeking in a long-term deal – comes down significantly. Albert is a franchise player, which comes with a one-year, $9.8 million base. Kansas City would love to get a second-round pick for him, clearing the way for the Chiefs to take Luke Joeckel at No. 1 overall and then get another player rather than take Joeckel and then lose Albert to free agency after the season. The problem for the Chiefs is that this move is actually counterintuitive for the Dolphins, who already let Jake Long leave for less than what Albert is looking to make. While Long has a longer laundry list of injuries (knee, elbow, biceps, back), Albert has also dealt with a back problem. To overpay for Albert and give up a second-round pick to get him would be pretty questionable for the Dolphins. Then again, the idea of having Jonathan Martin at left tackle could force the Dolphins to panic.

They might on draft day. If they draft Joeckel 1st overall, they'll likely loosen their offer to a 3rd just to get him gone and free up some money.
