I know I mentioned in another thread that I thought that 13-3 was a real possibility for us, but after looking at the schedule I've tempered my hopes a little bit. I'm predicting 11-5 this season and a three game winning streak going into the playoffs. If you're so inclined, you can read my full breakdown at my blog.

i'll be happy with 9-7. It would have been nicer to see some of those super bowl contenders on our schedule much later in the season. I'm not expecting us to be playing our best ball until about week 6 or 7. There's a very realistic chance we start 2-5.
It doesnt make any sense what they did to us. The first 8 games look like mostly losses. The last 8 all look winnable. Why not give us a bit more of a mix. the NFL is so stupid.

I think the preseason will tell us a lot. You could see the problems early last year. The Dolphins must take this preseason seriously and get focused. You have 5 games. By game 3, I want to see the starters playing more snaps. Play to win and to establish a positive and confident team going into the regular season.

I think Baltimore will be vulnerable, on defense. Our D has to be shut down on that day to stop Baltimore offensively....they are still stacked on offense.

Sticking to my prediction way back in April.

GO Dolphins!

I'm loving it. I said it before, to be "happy" with 2-3 is dumb and self fulfilling. Aim high, 5-0, one game at a time.

Not saying we will, but the team has to have that mindset or they will not be 5-0. You know what I mean?

Oh by all means. I am with you. That is why I want the 4-1 prediction to be wrong. I hope the Phins are 5-0 into the bye.

The ravens don't worry me at all, it's the falcons and saints that are a challenge. I think the Dolphins can come away with at least 1 upset.
3-2 wouldn't be bad at all, but 4-1 is still a realistic possibility.

5-0 and I would lose my fraking mind!

Well, I heard 2-3 and we will be set or if we are "lucky" 3-2. 3-0, you can't think like that in "real" life or football. Always shoot for the stars.....3-0 feel darn good right now. Bring on the Saints.

Well, 3-2 isn't so bad. Some called me crazy when I predicted 4-1 going into the bye. I heard many say they would be very happy with 3-2.

Not many people happy after an ugly loss to the ravens.

So what happened in those first 5 games?

1) TOO MANY SACKS.
The protection needs to be better, but also, Tannehill has to learn to be more aware, know when to scramble, try and make something happen, or just throw the ball away. Am I wrong, or did he do that a lot more last season. Is someone tellig him to stay in that constantly collapsing pseudo-pocket? I will include Tannehill's fumbles along with this.

2) TOO MANY DROPS.
Yes, Tannehill's throws are a little off sometimes, but if it is catchable, CATCH IT! End of discussion!

3) CHEMISTRY.
Wallace is just not in synch with the rest of the team. Is Wallace just the more obvious one, or does this team need more coaching to function like a well oiled machine? Get on it Philbin! I will lump a few questionable playcalls into this as well.

4) Maybe its just fresh in my mind, but I thought those two HUGE pass interference calls that led to the ravens TD were pure BS!

-----

I dont see anything on this list that can not get better THIS SEASON! Yes, the OL will need some addition and subtraction in the offseason, but I think we can get better at all of the above with the current roster, at least good enough to win the AFC East and make it to a playoff game.

GO DOLPHINS!

Maybe its where I watch Miami every week, but dang it. It sure seems like Miami WR drop passes more than any other team & I'm not just talking this year.
