Good depth on the OL is very important. Good to have Nate back. He did a decent job of filling in at RT except against the Patriots when Jake Long was injured.

Dolphins 'finalizing' deal with G/T Garner

The Miami Herald has learned that the Dolphins and Nate Garner are finalizing a deal that will keep Garner in Miami. ... 6236639234

Garner would be returning as insurance for a team that just lost Jake Long. Garner acquitted himself well in four starts at right tackle last season, but he'd almost certainly be coming back as a swing tackle, not a starter. ... ayer_news/

He has been re-signed. ... 4437.story

"The Dolphins announced Tuesday they’ve re-signed offensive tackle Nate Garner, a move that should help alleviate losing left tackle Jake Long to St. Louis.

Garner, a free agent, started the last four games at right tackle last season after Long was placed on the injured reserve list. Right tackle Jonathan Martin was flipped to left tackle as Long’s replacement."

I think he's been signed as depth, not a starter. Hopefully we're looking at Winston in free agency or targeting someone like Johnson/Fluker in the draft. I'd love to see us sign Winston and draft Fluker in the 2nd.

Same goes for DE. I'd love to see us sign someone like Osi Umenyora and then draft a pass rusher in the 2nd.

Doing all of this would free us up to draft a CB in the 1st round and go best player available from the 3rd round on.
