Quote:

1. Jennings is just as productive Wallace. And maybe moreso.

2. Jennings is the more polished receiver - and can play every receiving position.

3. Jennings has the kind of values this team covets.

4. Jennings should be a better value.

5. For a building team like the Dolphins, Jennings is a good fit. He'll teach others how to run routes and be a pro. This isn't to say Wallace won't. It's just that Jennings, as mentioned, can play all positions in a manner Wallace hasn't and has a track record for how well he handles himself on a winning team.

Good points by Hyde. But seeing that Jennings is older and has a recent injury history, if the Dolphins sign him then they need to draft Patterson, or another top flight receiver for Jennings to mentor.

I would LOVE for us to sign Wallace but if it means $12+ million a year and it ties up the rest of our $ then I'll pass. In that instance I would take Jennings (hopefully $8-9 million/yearly) and also look to sign FA TE Cook and draft 2 speed WR in the draft.

I'm not going to complain if its Jennings. Miami can draft a speed guy and hope he develops but you better hope its not another Clyde Gates.

If Gates came out this year he would be a 6-7th rounder or even an UDFA! I think the WR class is very underrated this year!

The better fit is the guy we sign. Gotta have trust.
