It's that time of the year again. With the Scounting Combine well under way, I figured we'd do a mock draft now, and one again after free agency to see if team's needs have changed. Here is the draft order for 2013:

The rules for this draft are as follows:

- When making a pick, explain a little bit why you picked that player and how he would fill a need for the team you picked him for.

- Pick only one guy, then let about three or four picks go by before picking again.

- NO TRADES!!! We know some will happen on draft day, but on here, it is too complicated to figure out.

- Keep your eyes peeled. Don't let a surefire top pick drop too far and definitely don't pick the same guy twice.

That being said, here we go....... WELCOME TO THE 2013 NFL DRAFT. THE KANSAS CITY CHIEFS ARE NOW ON THE CLOCK!!!!

With the first pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs select...... OT Luke Joeckel of Texas A&M.

The Chiefs will solve their QB woes through a trade. Eagles QB Nick Foles will want to come to Kansas City to play under Andy Reid as he does not fit Chip Kelly's offense. So the Chiefs draft someone to protect their QB. Joeckel is known for pancaking defenders and fits the mold of Jake Long back when he was healthy. A good one-two combo to build upon in the years to come.

THE JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS ARE NOW ON THE CLOCK!!!!

With the 2nd pick of the NFL Draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars take DE Bjoern Werner of Florida State.

The Jaguars finished dead last in the NFL in sacks and the badly need to upgrade their pass rush. Werner has 23.5 career sacks, 13.0 sacks in 2012. Damontre Moore of Texas A & M is also a consideration, but you have to be concerned with the fact that he only did 12 reps at 225 lbs, while Werner did 25. Motor, power, smarts.

rumor is that the Chiefs already have a trade worked out for Alex Smith but can't finalize it til March 12th

I figure KC is the team. I know they were talking with Philly, but the Eagles wanted a 2nd round pick for Nick Foles.

maybe Andy figures he'll roll with Smith for a year and then take Bridgewater or Manziel next year.
