Special special teams: Long-time Dallas Morning News columnist Rick Gosselin released his widely respected special teams rankings, and the Dolphins finished fourth in the NFL for 2012. Last year they were No. 2, and now are the only team in the NFL to finish in the top five the past two years. The Dolphins scored kickoff- and punt-return touchdowns, blocked a punt for a touchdown and blocked two field goals in 2012, although they also allowed kickoff- and punt-return touchdowns.

The performance the past two seasons certainly helped former assistant Dave Fipp land the Eagles’ job last week as special teams coordinator.

this seems to be the off season that will define us for the foreseeable future. I sure hope we get it right.

All these nice stats that are being reported since the season has ended but they sure don't seem to lead to wins.

I still think we need to draft or bring in a kicker....Carpenter cost the team wins.
