 Re: Zach meets with Dolphins
Surely they can't deny him retiring as a Dolphin. If they should, their crazy.
It will be great to have him on the pre games etc. tho'. I loves me some Zach. Keep our vets close!

I will miss MadDog and wish him a speedy recovery. Zach though would be an awesome addition to the radio broadcast.

 Re: Zach meets with Dolphins
I hope they do and let retire as a Phin. I hope he sticks around with the team Zach played his heart out for us. He's probably also talking to them, trying to petition for Dez.

But they probably won't. Kinda like I always wanted Marino as the QB coach. Hell if Jason Taylor doesn't get re-signed and decides to retire, he needs to be on our coaching staff.

Not really...Marino was never a student of the game...just naturally great. Zach Thomas has worked his butt off, and study tape and the game like no other.

I guess when someone on the offense messed up an assignment and Marino walked over to them to let them know they messed it up he was just guessing? Where do you get this stuff.

I guess when someone on the offense messed up an assignment and Marino walked over to them to let them know they messed it up he was just guessing? How does that make him a student of the game? Players, coaches and Marino himself have said that he would yell at everyone because of his desire to win and because he knew he didn't screw up, it was always the other guy. Bill Walsh asked Marino how he did it, what his first read was, where his checks were and Marino said "I just hit the open guy." I don't remember what show it was, but Marino said he was never a student of the game, coaches said he couldn't draw up any new plays for you but he'd beat you everytime. He didn't study that much tape, he just lined up and beat you with his arm.

 Re: Zach meets with Dolphins
I've always liked Zach and hope they would let him retire a dolphin. I was a small player in my highschool but I was smart enough to keep containment on D and knew enough on the O-line to be the utility lineman. I've always related myself with Zach for that reason. No matter where the ball was, Zach was on it.
