have said on this blog and on a couple of radio shows that I've been a guest on that Tim Tebow is a bigger, stronger, better Pat White.

Everything the Dolphins liked about White last year, Tebow brings to the table this year only with greater promise -- speed being the one exception. Tebow could run the spread formation, has a better arm, is more accurate, is more powerful as a runner, and has the prototypical size that White at 5-11 and 195 pounds lacks.

Tebow is simply an upgrade on Pat White.

And now comes this report from Pat Kirwin of Sirius Radio and NFL.com that Bill "Parcells loves Tebow."

The report includes Miami among the darkhorse teams to pick Tebow in the coming NFL draft.

And I cannot disagree!

Tebow brings absolutely nothing to the table that Miami does not already have with Ronnie Brown.

IMO, Ronnie throws the ball just as well as Tebow, and is a better runner.

Ronnie throws the ball as well as Tebow? Lol. No offense, but that is just a ridiculous .

LOL, I had to read that one again;)

While we can make a case for Ronnie passing out of the Wild Cat as a better option than Pat White, I'm not sure if the same can be said about Tebow. Maybe in another year we can say that, but he hasn't hit Parcells' golf cart yet;)

Anyways, no thanks.

Pat White threw the football much more accurately than Tebow did at the college level. Also, if you look at Tebow's completions, many of them came to wide open guys down the field. He has zero touch on his passes, does not have any velocity on his throws, and does not have the arm strength to throw any outside posts or out routes.

He's like Chad Pennington except without the accuracy or touch. At least Pat White has some arm strength.

All of Ronnie's passes so far have been right on target. Granted, he only practices throwing certain types of passes, but still.

You guys think I'm crazy, but I'm going to stick by it. I'm not saying Ronnie would be a better QB, but as far as throwing out of the WildCat, give me Ronnie over Tebow.

The internet is a wonderful place to easily disprove anything you ever say.

Tebow comp %= 66.7, 66.9, 64.4, 67.8
White comp %= 57, 65.9, 66.7, 65.7

Neither player has completed an NFL pass.

I am trying to remember when I had that eye-opening epiphany that revealed to me that there was a difference between what I remembered and what actually happened. I try to look most things up these days;)

How's that working for ya? I mean, you lead the pack as far as ridiculous comments from the consistent contributors. The only people that have a higher "per post" ratio as far as ridiculous posts are the trolls and newbies who wind up getting banned.

You might want to reconsider the approach and change it to actually knowing what you are talking about before posting. Just a friendly suggestion.

You know, I have no problem with them drafting a guy like Tebow in the 4th Round or later... It's pretty much a crapshoot from that point on anyways.

White is not gonna be a quarterback next year. I think that's quite apparent. Thigpen or Pennington will likely get moved at some point during the preseason. That leaves an open QB spot for a guy like Tebow.

I'm not saying lets pick him up 12th. But if he slides into the back half of the draft, why not?

Tebow = wasted pick for Dolphins. That would be a classic stupid move. Pat White was already bad enough....a wasted 2nd round pick....awful. Tebow is a fabulous athlete with terrific intangibles....but he does not fill a need for our team. He would be a luxury pick. We need tons of help at WR, defense...and yes, running back. We are fine at QB with Henne and Thigpen. If you can get Tebow with a 7th, then fine.....but he will be gone by then.

Tebow would be an excellent choice to run the WC if Ronnie goes down again. I think you could even run some Tebow packages out of the WC. The one limitation of that offense is throwing out of those formations. If they figure that piece out it would be unstoppable. Tebow is big enough to run at the NFL level and he can certainly throw the ball as he proved at the collegiate level. There are some players like Joe Montana, Zach Thomas who were never meant to succeed in the NFL due to their perceived limitations. Tebow has a tremendous drive to win and it will serve him well at the NFL level.

Other GMs/Coaches are getting Tebow-fever ....

Peter King wrote:
Favre succeeded by ... Tebow? The Vikings, who pick 30th in the first round, had a private workout with Florida quarterback/NFL temptor Tim Tebow Saturday. Though I think it's a long shot that Minnesota would use the 30th pick of the first round to take Tebow, it's interesting that coach Brad Childress and VP of personnel Rick Spielman, who have the draft-day juice, were both present for the workout, according to a Florida source.
