 Dez Bryant or Earl Thomas???
Lets say for the sake of argument that these are the best two guys on the board at 12. Who should Miami take and why?

Re: Dez Bryant or Earl Thomas???
If Parcells, Sparano and Ireland do what they did with Vontae last year, and find out the truth of the Dez Bryant situation, and that all these stories are BS, this is not even up for a discussion, regardless of who is on the board.
Dez is the 4th best player in this draft, and the best one on the offensive side of the football.
Earl Thomas is a good player, but does he really fit the Parcells mode?? He is neither tall nor thick, and he does not play like a physical player. I don't see him being the pick.

Re: Dez Bryant or Earl Thomas???
For some reason when people set up poll voting as a thread, I cannot see that, so I couldnt cast an actual vote, but I would have voted for Dez Bryant as with the 12th overall pick you take the best player available and between these two guys it is Dez Bryant.
Where ever this guy goes, my opinion is that he will become a force at wideout in the NFL.
If he does somehow even lasts to the 12th pick and Miami selected him, I think coach Karl Dorrell along with the existing group of receivers will embrace him and he will fit in great and we have guys that will lead by character example.
Bryant is getting an over blown bad rap and it is tiring to keep reading about the negativity.

After the decision makers do there due diligence and he is still a viable option then Dez. Won't be upset if we get Thomas.

That definitely needs a "IMO"

Re: Dez Bryant or Earl Thomas???
i think if we want a WR with the first pick, we should get brandon marshall. already proven WR and a change of scenery will do him and us good. if that is the route the team wants to get a wr. my thinking on it anyway.

Re: Dez Bryant or Earl Thomas???
Sparano has already stated that Miami is not interested in either Terrell Owens or Brandon Marshall, so let it go.

Re: Dez Bryant or Earl Thomas???
I hate Terrell Owens.....and he is getting old.....but can you imagine that target and talent with Henne's arm? The problem is, Owens is demanding of the ball and our staff is very committed to running....he might not get the ball enough to please his ego...he will also be expensive.
I think Brandon Marshall would be outstanding for our team. I can't imagine Denver would want to let him go though.
Neither player is coming to Miami though.....so pray for a WR in the 1st or 2nd round.

Re: Dez Bryant or Earl Thomas???
I voted Thomas; I think he's an immediate impact player; I think Bryant (who hasn't shown much maturity) will be an even bigger problem once he has millions in the bank, despite his talent.
As to Thomas' size (5'10" 202)... Here are some FS to think about... Ed Reed 5'11" 200 Antoine Bethea 5'11" 203 Jairus Byrd 5'10" 200 Nick Collins 5'11" 207
Psssst: Thomas hasn't had a strength and conditioning preseason in the pros yet...he'll put on a pound or two.

Re: Dez Bryant or Earl Thomas???
wouldn't mind either, but for some reason i have a feeling that Bryant is the real deal and that he is gonna exploded in the NFL. But yes if we can't get Berry than Thomas is the only other S i really want.
