 Jairus Byrd
This next weeks game will give us a look at one of the premier young safeties in the NFL, Jairus Byrd. He's 26, he's been extremely productive in his four years with the Bills, he's already picked off Tannehill once, and he's going to be a free agent next season.
While I think we're completely capable of drafting someone to compete with Clemons at FS. This guy would be able to come in right away and instantly upgrade our secondary. Not only that, but losing him would badly hurt Buffalo's secondary. It would be a two for one.
The only thing that concerns me is he's never intercepted a Tom Brady pass in his entire career, not one. Other than that, the guy seems like a very good player.
What do you guys think about the prospect of us trying to add Byrd this upcoming offseason???

Your guy Levitre ranks #11 in the NFL according to their grading system. Incognito ranks 38th and Jerry ranks 49th for a little perspective. He looks like a nice upgrade at the LG position. If we signed Levitre we could then slide Incognito over and let him compete with Jerry for the RG spot. My only concern with a guy like him is he's very good and only 26, which means Buffalo is going to want to keep him long term. I could see his price being very high. But who knows, maybe Buffalo is broke and he can be had for a fair price. If that's the case, I'd love to see us go after this guy.

 Re: Jairus Byrd
i think we might sign a starter at guard and draft the other starting guard in round 3. I don't think Richie or Jerry fit Philbin's lighter, faster style of linemen.
I would pay out for Mike Wallace and Andy Levitre and fill the rest of the needs through the draft.

The guy has way too many holes in his game to throw big time money at him. Too many drops this season as well. I'd rather see us draft a pair of young receivers early that our staff can develop. The Packers have done pretty well just taking receivers in the 2nd and 3rd rounds over and over again. I'd like to see us do something similar.
