1. How bad is Dolphins attendance of late? Here's the first paragraph about the Dolphins in a 24/7 Wall Street story involving 13 teams in attendance trouble: "Of all teams in the NFL, none has seen as big a decline in attendance as the Miami Dolphins. In the 2001-2002 season, the team brought in an average of 73,470 fans to watch home games, the seventh-highest in the NFL. By the 2011-2012 season, that figure dropped to 60,866, the fifth-lowest."

And this year the Dolphins haven't even hit that average mark from last year. They're averaging crowds of 55,758.

The story ranked teams by a decline in attendance, so traditional bottom-feeders (Marlins) weren't involved. The Dolphins are the only NFL team on the list. Major League Baseball had seven teams (Oakland, Baltimore, Arizona, Houston, Cleveland, New York Mets and Seattle), the NHL had two teams (Dallas, Columbus) and the NBA had three teams (Milwaukee, Detroit, Washington).

What is a common thread to most of those teams besides attendance drop?

Losing.

...

3. The Dolphins face a Top-5 passing team for the first time this year when New England and Tom Brady come to town. The schedule has protected the Dolphins from feeling the effects of the Vontae Davis trade too much. That changes now. Brady attacked Benny Sapp the last time he was in town to the point he ran Sapp out of the league. The Patriots will run a spread offense much of the time to attack a thin Dolphins secondary.

Boston sports radio isn't even talking about the game up here. Every other game they devote at least 3-4 days worth of analysis. Sad state.

The best they offered was some beat writer who said Tannehill is Sanchez with a better arm and can't throw on the run, a secondary with an excellent CB in Smith that can shut down QBs, and that Davone Bess is a free agent who could replace Welker.

Yep.

They're definitely not known for being the most intelligent sports fans, that's for sure.

I thought he threw well on the run last weekend. He's not Russell Wilson, but I thought he did a nice job.

That was the point of my post. They grabbed some guy who watched a few highlights and had him speak as though he gave expert analysis.

Today all they said was expect a blow out.

Well watch their LT grab, hold and jump on the back of the DE as he's rushing Brady....every time. As long as their allowed to hold, Brady stays upright and they win the game.
