Still not worried. Ronnie has been the man, both on and off the field, since coming into the League.
I give him an automatic pass.

So does this mean an automatic suspension? If so, for how long?

At least he's not being accused of Rape or assault. It could always be worse.

But I can't imagine a suspension being handed out for this. It will depend if they find him guilty, I would think. Either way, it might fall under the NFL's personal conduct policy.

Its amazing the tolerance people have for people they like, but then DUI laws in the US are quite the joke too.

I give him an automatic pass. Well, I don't think he gets a pass as he is lucky the worst thing he got was a ticket and a court date over it. I expect Sparano to rip into him about it, but as a fan, I support Ronnie 100%. As you've said, he's been "the man" and a great role model up until this point. Doesn't alcohol slow down the healing process? Just a thought there.

Re: Police: Dolphins Brown failed field sobriety test
More info from RotoWorld .... RotoWorld wrote: Brown failed a field sobriety test and nearly missed an oncoming vehicle as well, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. He has no prior record of off-field issues, so Brown has a good chance to avoid an NFL suspension even if he doesn't escape charges. He'll play out the final year of his rookie contract after he signs the Dolphins' $3.969M tender offer. www.rotoworld.com

Re: Police: Dolphins Brown failed field sobriety test
I would hope Ronnie would try to get some help, as he was very fortunate not to get killed or kill someone else because of drinking and drivng.

"Nearly" is the word that the police gave.
Let's let the whole thing play out first before we pass judgement.

Re: Police: Dolphins Brown failed field sobriety test
Nearly or Barely probably does not make much of a difference to whomever was driving the other car. Look everyone screws up at least once & he has never been in trouble , that with the fact that he is a Dolphin gives him a pass around here but he was very very stupid on that evening & I am sure numerous others. Its a good thing nobody got hurt because when other people get hurt these guys come down to Earth & realize they play by the same rules as us & are not above the law. Hopefully he has learned a lesson ... if he screws up again then we can use the saying 3 strikes & your out. Honestly though ... what these guys do no matter their reputation or how well they are liked should not surprise anyone anymore.
